Yes it will work...any memory stick that supports file transfer.

I have a MP3 player / USB Flash drive that does not work. Are you 100% sure this will? I dont want to guy buy it and have it not work.

Just get a Sony Micro Vault. They're less than $30 at Target (probably elsewhere too) for the 128MB version which is more than you will ever need for one sitting at GT4...

Where is you brand loyalty, sheesh, you call yourself a consumer??? :)

I live in Brampton, Ontario. We dont have Target. The sony costs more then the Geek Squad one. So I wanted to know if anyone can confirm it works.

u in brampton? me in toronto. I'm 99% sure that it will work. Also, i dont know why ur mp3 wont work. i dont have a usb flash drive so i'm using my 512mb mp3/flash drive and it works fine for me. Make sure ur MP3 player is on and u dont have the key lock function on

WRONG. There are plenty, such as the one that comes with AR Max, that do not work with GT4.
O loud one ...are you saying I cant store files from my GT4 saves on the ps2 memorycard on to the Max drive ( flash device ) ?
That would truly suck.

not ALL things work

a working 128mb stick that im about to buy in just a few seconds, the sandisk cruzer micro works..

lots dont work, i suggest getting it, testing it, and if it works keep it, and if not (ask if you can return it before buying though!!!!!!!!) return it

Mine does not work. My PS2 does not recongnize it is plugged in when you try to save pics in GT4. Works fine as a flash drive for everythng else I've tried, works great for its intended purpose, but for some reason doesn't work for GT4 pics...

On the other hand my Sony flash drive works for Pics in GT4, but not for the AR Max features... Wierd huh... I think it has something to do with the way the AR Max drive is formatted, so it might work if you reformatted it, but then it might never work for the AR Max stuff again...

It works for game files and such, but not for saving images from Photo Mode.

You can save images to your mem. card and then use it to transfer to your computer, but the resolution of the pic isn't quite the same, right?

Actually I believe it's the exact same file. I could be wrong. But that's also a huge pain in the butt. You have to restart the PS2 with the AR Max disk and then back into GT4. It's so worth it to just get a mem stick that works with GT4.

There is a difference in quality.

I use the lexar jump drive 👍 it's cheap too

EDIT: nevermind, I went and tested it myself, and I think that the pictures are almost identical. There is a slight, but almost unnoticeable difference between the 2 pictures as long as you set the options to "super fine" for the memory card (this is not default).

So wait... you can store Replays and Save files from the game too? How is this done?

All I thought you could do through the USB port was store pictures.

Kremithefrog
Who said that?

You can store them, but it's only the data, not a movie you can watch on your computer or anything. You need an Action Replay or Sharkport in order to do it, not just a regular thumb drive.

action replay, shi... I was hoping there was a way for it to just work. I thought I could get by without a Sharkport, but I may have to get one.
