Can you unlock the weather tracks in split screen mode?

I've searched but it yielded no results.

Is there a way of unlocking the crossed out tracks in split screen 2 player mode ie. Monza rain etc?

If not, why are they listed there?

yeah me too. I play split screen failrly often and have always wondered why they are shown if they are never going to be available. Hope some one can shed a little more light on this

It probably just comes down to programming limitations, that the system just can't juggle weather effects with two players' inputs to handle too. I've no idea why the options in track selection weren't just gotten rid of, but that's my guess at any rate.
