Can't add avatar to photos in photo travel?

Spec 2.0 said that you can now add avatars to photos by pressing triangle when moving a car. However when I press triangle, there is no "ON/OFF" feature for the avatar? everything else seems to work fine...

You press triangle before selecting a camera location to turn avatar ON/OFF. The feature you're thinking of is how to move it around.

I tried that, but the only buttons I can press are either X or circle... I'll look again tomorrow, not long just got off the PS3.

You press triangle after you've chosen a locale, but before you choose the camera location. It sounds like you're pressing on the main location screen back in the menus.
