So I've gone through and got gold on everything and I'm stuck at 98% Can anyone think of why this might be? The only thing I can think of is that I came 2nd on the GT World Championship event.

Your help is appreciated, thanks!

You have to Gold ALL the Races (Including the actually championships themselves), ALL Coffee Break Challenges, ALL Mission Races, ALL One-Make Races and The Red Bull Events!

Have a look through every single event in career mode just to make sure you haven't missed anything out by mistake, it sounds like you're missing about 3-6 Golds roughly!!

Ah! I didn't gold a few of the RedBull events. I know I did the mission races, but didn't get gold on the Redbull. Thanks!

I got gold in ALL (checked) events and I'm at 99%.

Have you updated to 1.04? there was an issue with percentage faults in 1.03, if you have double check, there's always that 1 event you think you golded but somehow missed!

I have gold in everything bar the three drifter coffee breaks and have 99%. I suck at drifts, spent all my time trying not to slide or spin wheels, so am having a tough time of it. Dunno if I will ever get it:banghead::grumpy::irked:

I felt the same way mate, you just have to keep going at it, I honestly think I've spent a good 8-10 hours in total on those dam drift events, just put comfort soft on front and comfort medium on back and don't think to much about speed just line up for the corner and floor the accelerator, you really need to try to be in 2nd gear for the best drifts :D also just have a long go at it, put some good music on, sit back and just go for it :D

Recheck your races...
You need to have still got GOLD in races... So if you repeated a previously Gold event... and finished 3rd... the game (might) register that race as a Bronze cup... so technically you were not at 100% at that time.

Maybe you did a championship - and only Silvered the cup... then repeated the single race... but the championship cup is outstanding.

Good luck! (Finding the race is harder than winning it!)

Also check each race in a championship, you can get gold in the championship and still have a silver or bronze in a race in that championship. Also Goodwood and I think the Moon Missions (I'm not sure) count

Cheers for that mate. I will get it, though atm it does seem a long way off....

I found the drifting quite difficult in this game. I am used to drifting in arcade racers such as NFS (drifting in Underground 2 was great fun) but drifting in GT6 is a whole new game. Once you get used to it, it does get easier (although I struggled for hours on end trying to get the gold in the 3rd one). My advice:

- Use comfort hard tyres. They are less likely to suddenly grip when you don't want them to.
- Use manual transmission. This allows you to keep higher revs and control your speed better (this is especially helpful in the 3rd one).
- Aim for a corner entry speed of 60mph. I found this speed to be perfect wherein it is slow enough to control but not too slow as to stop the drift.
- If you are using a DS3, then increase controller senstivity. This allows you react quicker when the car starts losing the drift.

Finally, check out this thread which has useful videos on the events. I found the video of the 3rd drift event very helpful in terms of knowing what gear to use, angles etc. Keep at it and you will get it eventually. Good luck and I hope some of this helped:

My advice is to actually check the races as I have had gold results change to silver after redoing them. It still showed that I had all the stars.

It has happened in an IA race and happened twice in the RedBull carts. I had all golds in them from my first few attempts but when I re-ran them I noticed one had become a 4th place and one a silver.

1.04 seems to have stopped this happening now as it hasn't happened recently.

A little tip for drifting for me was to try different tyres. You can learn better control with SH tyres. Maybe not score massive scores but it may be enough for gold. I did the S class one on SH's.

thanks all for the advice and kind words...going to give it a real shake for a few hours tomorrow.
ps...Managed to silver the first one today, which when my average score was 0-100, is a quantum leap. Once again, thanks to all for advice and help

So I went through and got all golds on everything, checked numerous times. Do seasonal events count towards completion, because I'm missing a few golds there and I'm still stuck at 99%

No, seasonals don't count. Moon mission (iirc) counts, goodwood, and red bull, coffee breaks, drifting, plus all single player races. I'm willing to bet you missed something, if you did a championship and got gold, check each race in that championship, I had one silver hiding in a novice championship even though I had gold in the championship.

I'll have to check again, but I'm pretty sure I'm gold on everything. Thanks

ok guys so i also have got gold in EVERYTHING and checked it all 100 times and still only getting 99% surley there is something else that needs doing to get 100%

Could there possible be a glitch? I can't find anything that's missing

A glitch is possible, but I'm sure it would affect more people. You need gold in everything including; goodwood, lunar missions, one make races, coffee break challenges, and all the championships. Have a look through your championship races as there was a glitch before IIRC that reset a race in a championship if you played it again and didn't get first in a single race. Just double check everything, I had one silver in one race inside a championship that had me stuck at 99%...

Same here, the last coffee break seems to be very hard; I haven't even got bronze for it yet, lol.

Two events to go - X-Bow cone challenge and the Skyline drift. I think I can get the first one done tonight but drifting drives me crazy.

Wheeeee.
For the final drift challenge I ditched the wheel and grabbed DS3 with sensitivity set to 7. I left the tires on CS. Manual transmission. 2nd gear all corners except the fast one. No e-brake, the car has enough power to break the tires loose. I broke the last two sections into two. The tight left for about 700 points, slowed down set myself for the second part and gunned it again.

I did the same thing except I found 3rd and 4th a better choice for more points, excluding the two tight corners...

I also dont like the drifting crap, but its not a problem. You simply have to have a feel more how the car drifts in the corner, you have to adjust...

But on GT5 i dont do the drift trials

Aaaaaaand done!
The trick to the cone challenge 5 (the x-bow) was ASM. I don't use it as it typically slows me down. But I was able to shave 2 seconds on my first run after turning it on.

So has anyone here actually got 100%? I've seen lots of replies to check your events to make sure one gold was not missed, but I haven't actually seen anyone spell it out that they actually did achieve 100%.
