Since you said SRF made it feel like an arcade, but also with SRF disabled it feels a bit arcade..

Oh, and it better than so-called sims? Try iRacing, LFS, GTR2, RBR. Those are sims..

GT5 is semi-sim at best, just like Forza and NFS Shift.
GRID is pure arcade.

I have played LFS, GTR2, RBR, extensively, and have tried iRacing.

RBR has much better dirt/snow physics than GT5, but not better tarmac physics. To me GT5's physics are way better than rF or GTRx.. The FF in GT5 is 100x better than rF, GT5 feels more realistic than LFS too. GT5 can't really be compared with iRacing's level of sophistication, but feels almost just as good in a lot of ways. It isn't a sim like that though with all the rules etc, and I'm talking about GT5 Only with all driving aids off, and with a good wheel and pedal setup.

I think PD making that SRF option stuck on in the seasonal races was a mistake or a bug anyway that will be fixed.

I think they did it this particular time just to piss you off personally

Hardy-har-har.. *slapping knee

Humor fail, go roll your eyes somewhere else..

You used the word "fail" the same way all the Internet kids use it.

You're cool

It seems to me the skip recovery is on on my A-spec races, even when I specified it to be off.

I drove a VW Golf GTI on Monza in the Expert European race. My power got cut off when I tried to throw my car towards the outside curb on the second Lesmo corner. Same thing at Ascari and at Parabolica.

I also tried the Grand Tour race at Eiger on the Alfa. I was also magically slow down when I tried to take the corner after the tunnel fast.

This is ridiculous. They better fix it, or there is no point for driving this anymore.

I am not sure whether it is SRF or TC (I turned both off), but I cant take corners at speed anymore. Just tried that on Le Mans (beginner world classics) in an old Alfa. Same deal.

This game is useless to me now.

It is extremely stupid because I wasn't close to losing the car in those corners. I was just having some minimum drift to carry speed through the corners. I have driven on Monza since before GT1 came out. PD doesn't have to educate me how to take those corners really.

I don't think I can drive with these restrictions on.

So is it just in the seasonals or in regular a-spec too? I haven't raced much for the past couple days.. The day the new seasonals came out I did them but didn't notice what you noticed, not saying it wasn't there- I just didn't notice.

Just because it may effect outcome, what wheel or controller are you using? Do you have other aids on like TC/ABS? Have you tried turning them off just to see what happens? How about that sim setting in the steering wheel settings option page if you are using a wheel?

I'm using G25 with no aids, next time I play I'll definitely look out for this and report back here.

G27, have always used pro wheel setting, all aids off except ABS at 1. All A-spec, I haven't tried the latest seasonals.

Oh ok. I have heard people say that when they have abs set to 1 or higher that other forms of driver aids are always on, like some sort of weak stability control.

You might want to try setting ABS to 0 then setting brake bias to 3 front, 1 rear (so they don't lock so easily) - just to experiment to see if you still notice that SRF effect you are seeing.

Just an idea.. Hopefully I'll get to race a little today so I can see if I notice this phantom SRF..
