If you start a time trial on Cape Ring Periphery (only one I know of) sometimes, it'll randomly invalidate your lap time right at the start for no reason whatsoever. Anyone else experience this?

Guess that's because you're running too wide (in the pit entrance lane already), in which you're basically off the track. If you're off the track it automatically invalidates your lap. Since you're running too wide and as a result get a higher top speed going onto the straight, the game must see it as "cheating" and therefore invalidating your next lap (since it affects your next timed lap). It does the same on several other tracks, like Le Mans, if you cut the chicane at the end.:)

👍
It seems that even if you cut corners prior to the beginning of the lap, it will still be invalidated.

That's normal, though. It's to stop you gaining a speed advantage before the timer starts for your lap.

At least it's not as severe as F1:2010 was pre-patch :D

I'm not doing any of that. It's more like if you get off line before you hit the start, it invalidates it. It doesn't start before the pit lane, or anything like that. It's weird.
