Yeah, you could say IMS would be a "home race" for a good portion of the Capp Cup drivers. :)

Me too! ;) --- Randy

I have one, or three. I love the Giulia so race it I will.

I saved the ticket for mine on a thumbdrive. Do you know if the ticket can be gifted? I fell in love with it after just 1 drive, it looks, sounds and drives fantastic!

Sorry, I did these early this morning before I was going to work and I knew I had seen your car lagging pretty badly so I just grabbed a couple quick clips on my way out the door. Nothing personal. :)
Yeah, that was just an example of jerky behavior, but if one needs to see how this kind of issue ruins races - look at race2, lap7, with me owens and torzilla going into turn1.

I'm not convinced the other oval would've been better. It would've been pretty much the same story - minor contact and you're 15 seconds behind.
I did enjoy oval race at Indy in some of our practices though. Bumps happen still, but normally you just hit the wall a bit and catch draft.

Yep, that's what I'm thinking. There's a ton more room going into the turns so large groups should be able to get through a little easier. The short chutes help neutralize any time lost in turns 1 & 3 too because you won't lose much ground before another turn comes up and you can latch on to the draft. 👍

So are we gonna do a Week #4 Points race at Indy next week?

I think that's the plan unless there are any major objections.

I have to apologize to everyone, in my eyes this season has been terrible as far as track choices go. During preseason testing they were fun with 6-7 cars but with a full field they go to crap real quick and it seems like every Round this season has been a disaster of some sort. I didn't want to duplicate any tracks from the first 2 seasons and that left me with very few options that were a good fit for these little cars. That's how we ended up with the current batch of tracks. I've learned a lot from the first half of this season as far as track elements that can ruin a race, I will apply that knowledge in the future and hopefully new seasons of the Capp Cup will once again be fun for everyone.

I think Indy Oval will inject some much needed fun into this season, at least I hope so. 👍

I have a Alfa Romeo GIULIA TZ2 carrozzata da ZAGATO CN.AR750106 '65, won it in said A-Spec race. You can't gift it, the cap is 1 mil sadly.

Which A-Spec race do you win this in?

I know you can't gift the car, but can you gift the ticket for the car?

It's actually in B-Spec, the Historic race under Expert. 2 races, the 2nd one's at Monaco and may take Bob a couple tries as he really like kissing the guardrail right before the chicane. I mean REALLY likes kissing it, on just about every lap.

I'll throw my Toyota on share if anyone wants to borrow it. If that's the race I remember, it took a few tries to win there. I was going up and down in speed throughout the race. Down approaching the chicane always because Bob does have a love affair with the guardrails there as mentioned above.

I hate B- Spec... 👎

Me too generally (except for everybody running my Bob's remotely and earning me butt-loads of moola) but it's worth it to get this car for free. Unless you have a spare $10mil laying around, then you can just visit the Premium dealership. :)

The first race (Deep Forest I think?) you can just start it and then go have lunch. He wins it pretty easily. Monaco will probably take a couple tries though, didn't matter what car I used Bob always put the nose in the guardrail before the chicane. Like Johnny/Yuri said, I would tell him "pace down" after he came out of the hairpin and he seemed to have better luck getting around that sexy armco. :dunce:

Also, you can get them from 1965 birthday tickets.

Anybody got any of those tickets they'd like to share? :dopey:

Oh yeah, if you do get the Alfa don't put any weight reduction or engine tuning on it. We could do a fun race at Spa with the "no tuning" option so we can all pretend we're back in the glory days. :) I've been driving it on Sport Softs in totally stock form, it's VERY enjoyable!

Only thing that would make it better would be an open cockpit. Ohhhhh how I yearn for some 60's open cockpit race cars in this game. Are there any that I'm not aware of? The Yota7 is open cockpit and has a great view but that thing is a HANDFUL to drive! I think it has about 5 gazillion horsepower and weighs about 25kg. :yuck:

Wow, so I got everything wrong. I forget about B-Spec, I got all the cars and then checked out. Every now and then someone runs my bobs for me.

If there is a car that bob can't lose in, let me know and I'll put it up to share, sp those without can grab it. I think I have most of the old race cars.

The Alfa is awesome, throwing that around Spa would be great.

I could be wrong Brandon, but I believe when you choose the "stock" option in an online lobby, you can only run cars that have never been modded, so if it's ever been touched, even if you remove it, I don't think it qualifies to run in the lobby. We should test that out...

If anyone borrows my Toyota 7, it's got a bizarre tune on it, but it is the one I used to win that Historic Cup and haven't used it since...it works...just a matter of managing Bob at Monaco.

That's what I thought too but I was wrong. I was in a room with Owens the other night and my car failed inspection because it had a racing exhaust on it. Put the standard exhaust back on and was able to enter the track. 👍

Well that's good news. I assume though if you've done something you can't remove like chassis reinforcement or engine upgrading or weight reduction that would disqualify you since it can't be removed.

Good to know!!

I tested the Alfa at Spa to see how it compares to the Cappy and it looks good.Tuned to these specs its within 1 mph thru Eau Rouge and up the Kemmel straight.

Hey, if someone hasn't driven their Prius TC, and doesn't mind modding it, could you apply Engine Stage 3 and an oil change and tell me the horsepower?

Looks like I have some grinding to do tomorrow... And it'll be Saturday for me, not Friday.

Can you do the Red Bulk seasonal to get a quick $10mil? (x200%)

I did that when they had all of the 0 miles LMP cars still for half price, well worth it.

Everyone has an X1 now...just hook up some rubber bands and a USB keyboard to do the Dream Car Championship overnight and all the money will be sitting there in the morning for you to buy the car.
