Do you think there should be more variety to make the exterior look better, light changing taillights or being able to make and put you own decals on your cars?

This has been beat to death. There is soo much on this subject. Just search and you'll get tons of opinions.

you mean altezzas? LOL

there are games that let you do that, and then there are games about racing. gt5 is the latter!

Yeah but Forza is a racing game and it has tuning and you can make your own decals

The decal idea may be kind of interesting if you can fully customize designs (to imitate race cars that never made it in the game) but as far as taillights and body kits, I say no thanks. Half of the spoilers in GT Auto look butt ugly anyways.

Need for Speed and Midnight club is your type of game then, in real racing the most you can do to a car would be adding a "#1" sticker. No flames or neon lights here ...

Forza doesn't have real driving physics and isn't a simulator like GT5. It's an arcade game in my opinion.

I think decals would make it to much like NFS in a way. But changing headlights interior guages and stuff like that would be cool. But some think that should stick with NFS and let GT5 let the pure beauty of the car show.

Exactly. It's as much a racing game as Need for Speed is a racing game.

Yeah wasn't really going for need for speed style, I was going for you could make a Top Secret 350Z if you could make your own decals, you can make your own teams for the racing series thats what I saying

I'd love to see some chrome 24's for my Viper.

 gotta get that white leather interior too.

 With gold chrome exterior!

:yuck:

No keep it classy two tone all the way 👍
Maybe in your favorite pro sports team colors.

When PD perfect the rest of Gran Turismo, then they could add custom parts. It would be good to have an ultimate car game taking ideas from other games, but I doubt it'll ever happen.
Imagine 1000+ cars, 100+ tracks, full tuning options, simulation level physics, custom paint and livery options, custom body kit's, full 'Pimp My ride' style interior customisation (for those that like that sort of thing) etc.

You complain about the loading time now? wait until thats introduced lol

Custom liveries would be nice. Just to make your car uniquely yours.

This is all I could ever ask for. Ever since I was little, this was all I've ever wanted. You've really hit the nail on the head.

Defiantly not the lights but maybe a few sponsor stickers that you've earner throughout A-Spec or something like that.

Ignorance is bliss.

Adding Neon and whatever is fine since it's up to the player to use it or not, but PD only has so many resources. I think a livery editor and functional aerodynamics should come before other things.

I can't take having anymore silly unlockable content. Does it really add anything to the game to unlock stuff? Anything at all?

I don't think it's "silly" but most race cars or street cars whose aim is at racing are sponsored in one way or another and most of the sponsors require some sort of advertising of their brand which is what you see stickers on those cars.

If the car does no type of racing then stickers should be out of the question IMO.

It's very easy to go to a shop and have them make decals for you. Or paint them if you're good at that.

I'm sure everyone has seen at least one street car loaded with decals. People do it all the time.

The OP must want to make an R34 look like 'his' car:

However EA own the Porsche license so those rims ain't gonna happen champ.

u should be able to choose tyre width and offset, maybe even fit smaller/bigger wheels

what about engine swaps?
