Car customizing?

Incidentally, how do you get hold of the tuned cars in GT5P? I don't mean stuff like the Mine's Skyline or the Art Corvette, but things like the Suzuki Swift with the carbon bonnet or that beast of a Cauppucino? Can't see them anywhere in the manufacturer lists.

The racing modification option in GT2 was great, especially when it had a major effect on the appearance of the cars. I remember it turned the Citroen Saxo VTS into the full works Super1600 car, with wide arches and everything. I hope it makes a reappearance in GT5.

They are under "Gran Turismo Concept" at the very end of the dealers list.

Ah cheers, you legend. Here's me been racing in some competitive races with no downforce at all!

rims do have an effect on performance. They change the feel of the ride, and have different weight characteristics.

they are also sexy! :)

More features the better IMO, you don't have to tune your car, or put visual mods on it. But I think it will be cool to add it so if some of us want to we can use it.

Agreed here. Different people have different perceptions of 'mods'. Some may be externally in terms of graphical decals while some can be performance enhancing such as lightweight alloys and internal struts. Some may be purists and leave the car as it is and thats fine. I personally would love a mod to create the design of your own racing team, something on the boundaries of Super GT style but thats just my opinion and others may absolutely loathe what i'm saying. If you really want to know what I have in mind errm, have a read of this article - http://www.dannychoo.com/blog_entry/eng/1341/Itasha+Show/. And yes, its real!

Overall its up to Polyphony Digital to deliver the goods, the more the merrier I say.

I would realy like to have body kits in GT5, be actualy all ready have them in GT5p. Look at the PD tuned cars they all have real body kits only PD doesn't say it.

Tuned EVO IX (APR wide body kit), Tuned V36 skyline (nismo body kit), Tuned evo X (blitz body kit), Tuned 350Z (Opera body kit).

GT5 should only have parts of the best tuning manifacturers like , Blitz, HKS, vertex, origin, INGS+, Junction produce, Amuse, Mine's and many more.

i totally agree but we should have the option to buy these parts seperately and when and if we want them! Not just certain cars with them incorporated. I'm hoping GTConcept is like a preview of this idea. I am involved in a L2 motorsport/fitting course and i see no reason why we shouldn't be able to mod our cars for racing in a racing game of this pedigree. I hate how some people like to pretend that such mods make no difference to a car!

Well it would be nice to customise, but not in the way that you can on say NFS.

I would like it if you had for example, Michellin tires on your car, you could add their decals to your car for sponsorship, which then gives you more credits. And for vinyls etc. I would only like to see racing modifications basically, no bloody street racing crap.
