Can anyone recommend a Japanese gt car for this event? Preferably new. Cheers!

Certainly go for either the Nismo Z, or one of the NSXs. The Nismo Z feels amazing, truly enjoyable to drive. Not to say the NSX isnt though, and i got lap times upwards of several seconds faster in the Arta NSX than i did in the Z. I feel like the Nismo Z is more forgiving and user friendly, but once you get a feel for the NSX you can set amazing lap times.

Careful, I've been warned about using that word.

It really isn't too hard in any Super GT car. I did it in the Castrol Supra because it has an interior view, as do many of the others. They are all very similar to each other so recommending one would be more an opinion of what one likes best than a recommendation of the fastest.

Castrol TOMS Supra is pretty good and so is the NSX. ^_^👍

I just used a Castrol Tom's Supra '00, The Xanavi 350Z gave me a tough time but I still beat it by 3-4 seconds.

Tbh, I used the Epson NSX.

And grinding a bit of money I was looking for ways to increase my laps around Indianapolis.

Yellow Nismo 99' Standard: around 51 seconds ish.
Calsonic Auteul Skyline 08': Around 48 seconds.

The Epson NSX at 645 PP I managed to do it in 45.8 seconds flat out, on the limit. Around 7 or 8 seconds faster than anything else and once your used to the track and the car, it's Miles the fastest car to pick. Might be that the Takata Dome and other NSXs are faster but so far for me this is the fastest.

You can do it in any of them, I've been working my way through all the eligible cars to see how they all drive and get a good tune for each one.

I've been pleasantly surprised at the stability of the Supras so far, my favourite NSX is currently the Mobil 1 one (think it's standard though) and the Xanavi Z was the first one I wheeled out for the seasonals as it was already tuned.

The Supra is pretty fun (and premium) to drive.

Just check the list of eligible cars. All of them drive pretty decent and can win. If you are having issues, you can always equip racing soft tires and win with no problem.

I favor the Pennzoil GTR (standard) because I like the color.

For a bit more challenge use one of the Lexus Super GT cars. In stock form they're not as fast as the NSX's, Supras, and GTRs.

Hey, they might be slow but at least they're ugly...

Quick question… When you get in first place on this seasonal event, do you get just the first place prize or also the second and third??

Thanks

I used the Loctite Zexel R34. No upgrades. Had to do an oil change though. It's a standard but I used it because I wanted something different. I've used my Petronas SC430 for every other Super GT event.

For a new car, I would use any of the NSXs.

But personally, I love using the Nomad Diablo for these races. 👍

I think is doable with any of the cars.

I made some of the races with the Nomad Lamborghini, others with Xanavi 350Z, oil change only, racing hard tires, pretty easy.

Ok, thanks! But you can still race again and finish to second place to win the second place price, right? In my opinion, it's kind of dumb that you don't get all 3 prizes for getting in first place.

Once again, thanks!

Did you buy one? i didn't think anyone could be that crazy  lol

Mobil 1 NSX. Although I suppose any JGTC car tuned at the limit will do.

The Rayburg NSX is awesome, been using that.

The Supra's (WOODONE, Castrol, etc.) are good, but don't handle as well IMO. . . .WOODONE is most powerful of the lot.

What's your NOMAD setup?

Mine handles like a pig compared to the NSX...

I didn't tune it at all. I use racing hard tires for these races, but try using racing mediums if you want it to handle better.

Yeah I got the 1 with red wheels cause, well, it had red wheels. :dopey:

I just had a fun race, used a 100% stock Raybrig NSX '06 and de-tuned it to 350BHP, competed at the Nurburgring GP circuit and won by .4 of a second from the Yellow TOMICA.

I crushed this with the stock EPSON NSX. Probably will try again with something slower.

Ditto :P its the best looking SC430 in my opinion, and it does make it more fun to whip out the sc430 occasionally just to give yourself a bit more of a challenge.

Takata Dome NSX '03. Love it. Heavier than the '06 but I like it better.

Thanks guys for all the advice. Sorry about the Japanese reference in my first post. I didn't mean to offend anyone.

Same to me... Completely stock, hard tyres.

Isn't the same sweet handling the regular Japanese GTs, but is not bad at all, and pretty more powerfull.

I used a different car for each one:

Lamborghini Diablo, Castrol Mugen NSX, Calsonic GT-R, Epson NSX and Eneos SC430
