Tough to choose between the 787B and 88-CV, but the Mazda 787B will be my choice. The Renown livery is awesome to look at, and it's engine sounds awesome too. Not to mention it was a very successful car, winning the 1991 24 Hours of LeMans.

1991 787B. Not only does it look and sound great but it managed to beat far superior cars thanks to it's impressive reliability.

I'd vote that too but it's waaay too mainstream...

Sauber was too lose too but I cannot resist.
The brits get my vote, XJR-9 it is. I just love it so damn much, R89C was real close too.

You know, just because a car is not in Gran Turismo does not mean it doesn't exist. How can you have a Group C poll without the most important car of the category? That'd be like having a poll about 4wd rally cars and not including the Audi Quattro.

I dearly love all of them. Such an incredible era in motorsports history. One of my favorite racing categories ever, and probably my favorite after 1980.

The 787B only won one race in its lifespan. It was a big race to win, but it was only one. To me, this comes down to the C9 vs. the 905 vs. the XJR-9, since they're the most successful of the bunch. I chose the 905, since it's like the ultimate Group C car, being at the end of their evolution. It won Le Mans twice in a row, and had great results in most of the other series it was run in.

Really though, it's the 962. Not many other cars have won Le Mans twice in a row and then again 7 years later.

I didn't choose these because of Gran Turismo. I left out the 962 because that would be the car with near if not all the votes. Sorry guys.

Anyways, I choose 787B.

Maybe closing this poll, and adding the 956/962 and Lancia LC2.
Won't someone then ask to add the Aston Martin Nimrod ...?

Even though I love the 787B, and the Lancia and the Aston, I'd still vote for the Jaguar

*facepalm*
Seriously?! Cowboy, that's not a good reason; if there's going to be a poll like this, it should include every car in the category, not just a select few. That and what Downhill Dino said; with people now mostly voting for the 787B, that reason has become pointless.

Sorry, but the only cars I add to the polls are the cars that the user nominated.

I love the sound of the 787, as most others probably do as well. But for me it comes down to the 88-CV and C9.

Polls should not always contain every single car in a given category. Otherwise, we'd have polls fifty over fifty different muscle cars to choose from, and that's too much.

Yes, not EVERY poll should contain every single car given in a category. For ones like this where the category is specific enough where there aren't too many cars in the whole group; I believe that every car should be considered.

Yet leave the 787B in the poll, kind of defeats the point.

Imagine if the 787B was also goner. I can only think which one would take the cake? German engineering at it's finest, the C9 itself. Reason I didn't selected was also because it's widely well known and needed something that I really admit that I love, not just in GT4. Something about the rear covers of the XJR-9 and R89C mad eme love it..especiall that, when I used to own RRT4 for the psx, one of the cars for certain manufacturer and team..on final stage, would be awfully similar.

I mean, you claim that the C9 would dominate if the 787B was gone, but the glorious and supreme 905 is currently 2nd in the poll at the time of writing...

Either way, I don't know why you'd remove a car from a poll for being too popular. Now we have no idea if the 787B would beat the 962 (well, technically we do, but you know what I mean)

Yeah. Both cars are legendary good, When the rrothmans 962 ain't there, you gotta go for the Mazda one. Not just because of designs or visuals but I think there was videos of it - the sound. Dear God, the sound.

But not jsut that but, Shame @Cowboy didn't list the 917 either. When in case no sign of 962, go with that 917. I love that monster of a car.

I'm not so sure about that. If there was no 787B in the poll, then the 905 would have the majority of the votes, and that would also defeat the point.

That's... still not the point. Remove the 905 and ANOTHER car will get the majority of the votes, and so on, and so forth... it's almost as if some cars are more popular than others, which is the point of holding a poll in the first place.

Assuming that would be the majority choice if there were no 787B option. A possibility, but the point being that there shouldn't be any excluded really.
