The CSL roofs are carbon fibre aswell.
That's why its roof looks wierd... Especially in that bamboo photomode place. The Black carbon fiber cars look wierd there, as well.

Yes it is Carbon fiber. I made a new pic to clerify what I was asking about. Ill post it in the first post too.

isnt that what the "C" in CSL stands for ???

"The flaps in the front air dam, exterior mirror housing and the roof are visibly made of carbon-fibre. The front air dam itself as well as the doors are made of carbon-fibre finished in body color, as are the rear lid optimized for perfect streamlining with its high rear spoiler and the rear end diffuser"

BMW M3 CSL

The CSL stands for Compact Sports Lightweight, the name is a nod to the CSL race cars of the '70's

Man I love the rear rim and flair Deepness of that old Beamer, I't makes me mis Race Mods even more, Thanks for that cool pic!👍

incase you weren't aware, the M3 CSL is the lightweight race version of the E46 M3, released by bmw for racers who appreciate the performance of the M3, but don't want to drive a hairdresser's car (which is what all other 3 series are)

all the heavy unwanted crap like stereo, power windows, climate control, etc has been stripped out of it. i think it even has lightweight racing bucket seats. it also has carbon fiber everything for weight saving, even the roof!

google around for info on it, there's plenty of webpages that give specs and pictures :)

(some of the posts in this thread are idiotic, i think a moderator needs to excercise their delete function)
