To be more specific, the roof and front splitter elements of the production CSL is made of carbon-fiber reinforced plastic, or CFP.

The CSL Concept (not in GT4) had the entire front airdam, doors and mirror housings made of CFP, as well as the roof.

incase you weren't aware, the M3 CSL is the lightweight race version of the E46 M3, released by bmw for racers who appreciate the performance of the M3, but don't want to drive a hairdresser's car (which is what all other 3 series are)

all the heavy unwanted crap like stereo, power windows, climate control, etc has been stripped out of it. i think it even has lightweight racing bucket seats. it also has carbon fiber everything for weight saving, even the roof!

google around for info on it, there's plenty of webpages that give specs and pictures

(some of the posts in this thread are idiotic, i think a moderator needs to excercise their delete function)
