Cars not moving in race PLEASE HELP!!!

So I go to start a race (any race) in a-spec and the car will not accelerate or reverse. I tried every option and control layout and nothing seems to work. Anybody have any ideas?

Did you check to see if the car had an engine in it? Because, if you didn't, then that might be the problem! 👍

It would help if you told us what controller you are using...

Use the controller assigned to player 1 and not 2 or any other number.

If it's a track anywhere near Liverpool you might not have any wheels.

assuming you are using the standard controller look at the red LED on the front of the controller and make sure it is assigned as controller 1. If not then press the PS button select 'controller settings' and change it to controller 1.
Then make sure your using x to accellerate
(not being sarcastic. some people assume you use the R1 and R2 triggers to acelerate.

yes, it has an engine, yes its player 1 controller, any track and any car. still doesn't move. the controller im using is a standard ps3 dualshock.

ok. i guess i figured it out. the controller wan't "fully" charged. i feel like a jackass now! thanks to everyone for trying to help tho. greatly appreciated. For future reference, make sure your controllers are charged at all times!
