how can i do this, ive looked everywhere, is it even possible?
Jimmy EnslashayI've always been able to adapt well to that. I don't think it's even a feature in vB3. I already opted for Southern Hemisphere DST Settings, but Jordan asked the guys over at vBulletin, and they explained it would be very difficult.
I'd wait for Jordan's response to this anyhow.
JordanI set the date format to whatever I want. I had always preferred our current format because it takes up less space - completely forgetting about international visitors.I'll change it to something a bit more accessable for everyone.
JordanI was implying that I was the dunce, not international visitors.
Nope. When we set our clocks backwards, they set it forwards, and vice versa. So in order to change our time for Daylight Savings, we have to change the actual time, instead of having it automatically set DST for us.Stinky ChickenSouthern Hemisphere DST Settings wouldn't make any difference, would they? The day, month, year etc is still the same even if you're int he northern hemisphere...
Why doesn't vBulletin use a universal date, like:
25 Dec, 2004
No, I'm afraid not.Jordan -- Would there be any way to include it in the settings so that we could change the Date Format to however we would like it?
At the top of each individual's post, it used to have, for example: "NEW! Today, 6:15 PM", "Yesterday, 9:33 PM" or "12/08/04, 9:53 PM". Now Jordan has changed the latter to "Dec 08 2004, 9:53 PM" to comply with universal date format.cardude2004Where is this different date format? I don't see any differences on the dates the threads last had a post in, and at the bottom of the page all it says is All times are GMT -6. The time now is 9:04 PM.
I don't follow cricket anyway.Mike RotchLets not forget that you crazy Aussies have the cricket score format the wrong way. You guys say two for a hundred, when every other nation (besides NZ of course) say a hundred for two.
I would write Richie Benaud a nasty letter, but I'm lazy.![]()
But i agree with the above date format![]()
