I thought it would be cool to have a check engine light, and kinda forces people to do engine overhauls and stuff. Of course cut the prices in half, so it doesn't cost half a mill just to fix your ride. What do you think?
Eh, it's the same as the oil light, except it goes on at a different mileage value. I doubt it'd be too hard, but I obviously don't work for PD so I'm just guessing too.
Some sort of indicator would be very welcome. I can keep track of the couple of cars I use often but my lesser used cars will eventually be run down and I won't remember.
And no, using an excel spreadsheet is not an acceptable fix.
Now what would be a really cool touch and useless at the same time...A sticker at the top left corner of the windshield reminding you when at the mileage your next oil change should be around.
Yeah... There should be some more structure around car maintenance. Other than the increased HP after an oil change, it's hard to realize when you actually need to do maintenance with the Engine/Chassis overhaul, if at all.
