From gamesradar.com (official site of Future Publishing corp., the most renowed European video-gaming magazine publisher, like Official PS2, Xbox, GC, Edge, etc..)
"After Sony recently quashed rumours that Gran Turismo 4 would feature a hidden superbike mode, they have today emphatically denied that GT developers Polyphony Digital are working on a standalone motorbike-based racing game.
While internet reports are stating that a game with the working title of Gran Turismo Bikes is already in development and will be released between GT4 and GT5, a representative of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has told us that the stories are simply not true.
In fact, they cite the fact that there's "not a single human being" at Polyphony who is not currently working towards finishing off GT4. Bear in mind that the game's release was recently postponed until next year, which also makes it seem hugely improbable that the ace studio would be doing anything other than frantically trying to complete its development.
SCEE also added, "We have a very successful series in Moto GP from Namco. That's our bike game at the moment."
So despite the fact that we'd love to see a GT bike game and the convincing level of detail in certain web reports - Kawasaki, Honda, Harley-Davidson being signed up, online play - the bad news is that it doesn't look like it's happening at this stage. Bah. "
So be it. But as James Bond said: Never Say Never. Again.
