The most successful team in ALMS presents the new version of Corvette racing. Please bring this car to GT6! The only car that comes close to this is the C6 RM. *sighs*

FTFY? The C6 RMs != C6.R but they can be used as such. ;)

Yes please! I was hoping this car would be added to GT6 when the real thing was unveiled. Still hoping it will appear soon - maybe in time for the Daytona 24 (fingers crossed)!

Hopefully this could sound at least sort of like a real car too. 💡 (not like other Corvettes in GT)

After the showing the C7R put up at the Rolex PD why add it. Stirring the pot I know since the Vette DPs are dominant in their class. I am sure the Vette team will get the program to a winning level by Le Mans or even Sebring. It will make GTLM that much more fun to watch with five closely matched cars (911, Vette, Z4, Viper, 458). Now if only Aston can get their car up to a competitive level.

PS here is your race winner!

So I just realized last night that the C6 LM race cars aren't actually C6.R models. This was kind of disappointing, until I realized the road version of the ZR1 is just as good (more HP with a little more weight and less torque at 650pp) as the C6 ZR1 LM.

I imagine this has to do with Pratt & Miller/Chevrolet keeping detailed info on the cars under wraps. Thus is would really surprise me if the C7.R even makes it to Gran Turismo 8.

Detailed specs for the GT1 C6.R and GT2/GTE C6.R are listed on the Corvette Racing website.

Well, still doesn't mean PD's been given (or asked for, for that matter) access to the real cars for scanning and such. Also consider that the C7.R wasn't unveiled until after the game released, so the C6.R was, for all intents and purposes, still the official race car of Corvette Racing. If PD wants to make it happen, I could see the C6.R landing on GT7 but we might be waiting for the C7.R.

Did we ever get a C6.R? I'm not holding my breath.

Regarding the C6, this is true. The C6 LM could be considered PD's version of the C6R but it is not the C6R.

We have
C7 Test Prototype (no mods permitted)
C7 pre-production model (no mods permitted)
C7 Corvette Stingray production model (full mods allowed)
and
Stingray Gran Turismo Concept '13 (full mods allowed).

And as Sneakie said, PD obviously has a thing with Chevrolet so I am pretty confident we will see the C7R in GT6.
Personally I want it bad. The rear hatch tucks in so narrow between the wide rear fenders... all the fenders are so huge it has an exaggerated coke-bottle shape... such a dynamic and powerful design! Love it!

I also believe that GT will have more C7's because PD has an close relationship with GM.

Nice car, we need it in GT7.
