Umm your point? This isnt NFS. This game is a sim. Regardless, any car that can compete with others even when its down 100 hp and up 100kg is pretty damn beast right. Plus, all the RMs are based off their real world counterpart technically. ZR1 RM= C6R. TVR RM= T400R. The same rule should apply to the GT LM.

Your logic may apply to the ZR1 (btw: Im a huge fan of it! and I don`t know anyone here in germany who doesn`t like them too), but not to the Ford GT LM spec II test car. Its pure fiction.
Also, PD overpowered that car because its a fantasy car designed by them. It has alot of mechanical grip and downforce. Too much to be a real car which raced under GT1/2 regulation. I would have no problem if it were based on this

but it isn`t.

The GT LM has a very loose rear end. It does have alot of down you are right but it sure isnt up power. The regular GT can get 882 hp. The GT LM has 826hp. The regular ZR1 gets 905 hp and so does the RM ZR1

I love the ZR1. Have always been a fan of the corvette. Muscle car power in a sports car body. (exept the 80's). I often find myself the only person that runs the corvettes (or American cars in general). And I definately win more then my fair share of races. I have a few vipers that do very well too. Even the new camaro is fast. So I don't know why I'm the only person in a room that drives US cars. While everyone else keeps driving the same M3 & NSX over and over and over again. Fine cars, don't get me wrong. But would be kinda nice to see some more people who have some loyalty to American cars.

But I digress
ZR1, excellent car in real life & in video game. A true sports car without gimmicks. like paddle shifters.

You seem to have missed the part where he said everyday car. I would compromise performance for a bit of comfort in a daily driver. IF it was an all out track car, then idgaf about interior.

Really cause I saw it spoke about VW which is known for being every day driver cars...then blended it with the subject at hand a non daily driven car. Maybe you just didn't read correctly.

It's not even worth that much for what it is anyway....the Ford GT is really just a noobs car in GT5 like the X1.

This guys is what is known in Australia as a 'barramundi', the fanboy fell for it hook, line and sinker
It's also called "trolling", and "baiting", ask a mod how funny you are.👍

It's trolling when you start a discussion about one car and then talk about another for the next 4 pages...

Nope, not when it's comparing the two. You clearly don't understand trolling by definition, despite having done exactly that.

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[
Now if I had said "ZR-1's suck" I would be a troll like you, I only mention it because you have the audacity to brag and laugh about it openly.

Feel free to go back to discussing ZR-1's. ;)

Rock on Commader Dictionary! 👍

If we were discussing the ZR1 (the C6, not C4 which is the ZR-1) then why have there been sooo many posts about the Ford GT? And don't give me this comparison BS, read the posts and you'll see he's just saying how awesome he thinks the FGT is...not how awesome it is compared to the ZR1.

For one, I started talking about the Ford GT because you guys went off-top 2x even after I tried to focus the topic back on the ZR1. I did it to show you how far you've all became irrelevant. Lastly, you were one of the 1st go off topic.

The Z06 is or can be drivable at least, but the ZR1 is a joke. Unless you like going sideways in a cloud of smoke everytime you turn a corner then this car is pointless. Can't set a decent lap time on sports tyres because of this (keeping in mind this is TC and all other aids off). If you're comparing it to a Lambo LP670 or 640 for handling then the Lambos win by a long shot, and its not really that quick to be honest.

Sorry America but I hate that car, it's like a Z06 but in an out-of-control-teenager kind of way.

I'll just leave this here.

Now thats what I'm talking about. I bought the ZR1 with the intent of RM. I made the car earn its keep though. Drove it through races. drifted the thing. Didn't like it. Good around Indy, and thats about it for me. Don't lik the car's behavior. I love the Viper though. Its a beast!

???
the ACR is rated for 41 less horsepower, and the functional aero parts increase drag, on the already less aerodynamic car.

???

You've just reiterated what I've said. To fight back against the ZR1, the ACR would need more power and less drag.

The power deficit is an obvious issue. The aero, functional as it may be, really hurts the ACR's straight-line speed. The standard SRT-10 actually has a higher top speed.

The ZR1 probably has less downforce, but it also comes with far less drag. The ZR1 probably trails behind just a bit in the corners, but the lower drag and extra power more than make up for it on the straights.

Wasn't the ACR designed for tracks with multiple corners? I think the designers didn't really care for straight line speed when they plopped that giant rear wing on.

If you need TC to drive it that answers why you can't keep the tail in-line.

So street cars are faster than racing cars because they go faster in a straight line now?
The C6R has downforce not unlike the ACR, are you actually suggesting the ZR1 is faster round a track then the C6R? Or do you not understand what the competition spec ACR is?

I have more miles on my ZR1 than on any other car in GT5. Probably more miles on that car than on all other cars put together. This is the beast of GT5. Hands down

I love the ZR1! I use it whenever I can when online and usually get more than decent results. I just wish I knew how to tune cars properly to make it an even better ride, but I never have the time/patience required for it

Why do Americans think they have the best cars?
It's fast but not that fun to drive!

This. Its like they are set out to prove something. I am sorry but it is a great car love the RM version however if I want to drive a fun car I would hop into a ferrari or lambo any day. The Nissan GTR is also better in terms of clean driving.

ZR1 is awesome stock/mild tuned. C6 Z06 ditto. However, my favourite to take online is the C5 Z06. C5 > C6. ;)

...and all of them are waaaay more fun to drive than a GT-R.

I have the Z06 (C5, C6, can't remember) and I find it a hell to drive in with completely stock tires.

I always put comport medium and sometimes comfort soft on my road cars (occasionaly sports hard/medium on very fast tuned road cars).

While driving the Z06, i have extreme oversteer, no matter how easy i go in corners. The backwheels spin like hell. I fixed that very easily > equip rear tires with comfort soft, and keep comfort medium on front.

It is much better now, but you can still get yourself some decent oversteer if you're not careful...

LMSCorvetteGT2
It's fast and fun and I'm a Corvette fan because of the Le Mans heritage they have, which alot of it came to make the ZR1, then turned around and used the ZR1 as the base to build the new C6.r for GT2. Also not all Americans think that way, it's like me generalizing and saying why do Brits have many of the manufactures owned by asian corps. or why do germans over engineer their saloons only to be beat by Japanese ones. See how when I say things keldabest they hold more generalization than actual truths.

Over-engineered German sedans only to be beaten by American ones because America is the best! USA, USA, USA, USA! America over all because we build the best cars because I'm a narrow-minded arrogant American who thinks we have THE best cars according to the almight keldabest13.

The ZR1 was my first must have when I got GT5 and still is one of my favorite stock cars to drive, although I do cheat and use sports softs at times.

I have three C6 Z06's but haven't bought the C6 ZR1 yet :boggled:
