Let’s hope that it’ll be as good as last weekend hey?

Though, with this bland circuit, chances are pretty slim…

*ahem* Contructors championship is close, almost nothing in it. I’m thinking (and hoping) that McLaren will bag this—but it’s too close to tell, one retirement could ruin it for either team.

Predictions
Kimi
JPM
Webber (finish the season on a high note, eh?)
Alonso
DC
Ralf
MSC
Albers (get a point in Minardi’s final race … please!)

Blake

Mclaren should in theory wrap it up here, but stranger things have happened. Blake I seriously hope that your predictions are right as that would be the ultimate finish to the year, a Mclaren one-two and Webber on the podium. I also notice that you dont have fisi in the points....

just about every f1 car and a few of the gp2 cars are gonna have to retire for minardi to get points...

its bars last race to. i hope they get some good points here to.

Well, it was either Fisi or Albers – I put in the better driver (ouch :D).

Just about every F1 car and a few gp2 cars are going to have to retire for button or BAR to win a race...
And then Minardi would beat Button. What is the track layout of the Chinese GP? I haven't seen a picture of it.

i didnt say win i said get points. i'm not that optimistic. right now kimi would have to drive the bar to get a win for them.

hmmmm, is kimi that good a driver..... I know that you said that BAR are only going to get points, and I am just saying they cant win.

BAR should get points though unless sato chooses to take out his teamate this race

the fight between kimi and fernando is gonna' be intense
this weekend if both are able to get through qualifying in
one piece. i picture a one-two grid between kimi and alonso
which will only be the beginning of their battle.

We'll see. I thought he'd throttle back his pace after winning the championship, but now Renault can taste that constructor's title, I think they'll be out for blood.

They'll deserve it. They've had the most reliable of the competitive packages all year.

Whoever wins it deserves it. McLaren has the fastest car in F1 at the moment. McLaren has two of the fastest drivers in F1 at the moment. McLaren has had bad reliability. Mclaren has had a driver that has made alot of mistakes. McLaren took a while to get going at the start of the season.

Renault has the 2nd fastest car in F1. Renault have had great reliability. Renault have one of the best drivers in F1 at the moment. Renault got off to a quick start this season. Renault have a driver who has made alot of mistakes and has been off the pace most of the season. Renault has been off the pace of McLaren since the 4th round.

Whoever wins it deserves it, both teams have their up points and bad points.

I still hope McLaren win it. :p

Basically what it comes down to is can JPM stay ahead of Alonso, becuase Mclaren need a one two to sow the championship up. If Fisi cant be up the pointy end of the field like he was in Japan, i dont think renault have much of a chance because to win the constructors championship both of your dirviers/cars need to be scoring maximum points.

Last race for Sauber, BAR, Minardi and Jordan, lets hope they produce a blinder of a race.

Chinese GP went to Rubens last year... just... (Him, Button and Kimi were seperated by 2 seconds or something stupid like that) And I will be looking at Rubens to bring up another surprise for his last race with Ferrari, Button will be looking to silence the critics.

The main battle however has to be the Constructors championship, Renault, 2 points ahead of McMerc, its too close to call and I have a feeling both teams will end up on the same amount of points, however the championship would go to McMerc since they have won more races.

Question: What will Alonso's number be next year if Renault finish 2nd?? Because McMerc will have #1 + #2 but usually champions get #1...

Prediction:

1st: JPM
2nd: Alonso
3rd: Rubens
4th: Button
5th: MS
6th: RS
7th: Monteiro
8th: Massa

The reason I have not put in Kimi in the points is because my 'psychic' powers have told me that he will suffer yet another engine failure in the race and then kick the engine untill it kicks back into ignition... only 5 laps down.

I hope the 4 teams mentiones at the beginning have a good race since it will be their last under their currents names/regines.

I thought I heard somewhere that BAR was going to use a 1000hp engine for the last race of the season. I may be wrong though as they were supposed to have a "special" engine for Japan.

Yeah the "suzuka special" won't they have to carry that engine into this one?

I know everyone raves about this circuit but I have a hard time caring, honestly. The coolest part I saw of it was the infield paddock area, the one with all the pagodas on the water....

Anyway...I think McLaren will put a smack down on the field and the season. Since JPM is going out first...the Kimister will take the win with JPM driving up through the field to podium, not sure if he can get second as Alonso will be right there.

So;

Kimi
Alonso
JPM
Fisi
MS
Button
Trulli (?)

I'm sad to see the season end, it's been amazing...but I dig the off season and all the testing/news that comes out of it. March will be here faster than we all know.

Well, if we go back to 1997: Hill was champion in 1996, in 1997 he went to Arrows and that team had car numer 1 and 2 that year.

1999: McLaren driver Mika Hakkinen wins the drivers championship, but Ferrari wins the constructor championship. In 2000 McLaren had 1 and 2 on their cars.

I don't think they've changed the rules, so Alonso will have car number 1.

Yeah, the layout is pretty lame. Tilke went too far with the long radii corners on this track.

Oh man, it’s crazy. I’m always so nostalgic during the last race of a season. I too love all the off season stuff, but the biggest problem with it is the testing break – that always takes so long!

Yeah, there was already a discussion about this a couple weeks ago.

The teams have familes too. It's nice they get to see them a few weeks out of the year. :)

Besides we will have Ferrari's going around thair track! I guess Italians don't have families. Only passions.

Haha, yeah, I understand. :p

So it should be sunny this weekend, meaning not much chance of scrambled grids! I just want this to be race between the two contructors with no interferances!

Also Renault have a special 1 race engine for this weekend – E spec or F spec … I’ve lost count!

I know Renault has had good realiability this season but "Special" engine from them historically means big boom and lots of smoke.

I don't see both McMercs and both Renaults finishing the race. All 4 guys will be pushing and I think both teams have special engines....it should be interesting.

Yeah, someone is going to retire, I just have the feeling that this will be a controversial result…
