i would like some reviews of the old Alfa Guilla, should make a nice drive

Pretty sure you run one of the license tests in that car. It gets the 👍 from me, as do the Lotus Elan and Europa.

The old Charger 440 is alot of fun to toss around, too. Makes a good drift machine, now I understand why they used it in the Dukes of Hazzard.

Shelby Mustang is an outstanding drive, even if it is not accurate, as some have stated.

I can't stress enough, though... The Lotus Elan S2 is the shiznit. Drive it stock, or tune it to the hilt, it is a tiny car that just does whatever you ask of it.

There's a bit of a rivalry between the 'Stang guys and the GNX guys. V8's vs. Turbo'd V6's and the like. Both could be made into huge power beasts ( I've got Dyno vids of each in the 1000hp range )

Ever see a car smoke the tires on the dyno? The GNX vid is just something to behold...this car is truely a beast. The DUAL turbos are so big they had to cut notches out of the hood for them to stick out of ( looks like a Pod Racer from starwars from the front ) and the blow off's shoot out the front fenderwells....very cool

Plus, a lot of people ( myself included ) like the boxy styling. I think it has an aggressive look personally, and looks best when clad in black on black. 👍

The Grand National is a beast and one of my most anticipated to drive cars, however the car you saw smoking its tires in the vid was running a twin turboed 396, from and S-10 drag truck. I do love the way the exhaust exits through the front fenders lol. Go to www.turbobuick.com to find more about the GM G-bodies of that era, especially the GNX. I'll try to find the vid and post it.

Ah, well, either way..that was a kick ass ride. What a screamer.

I've also got , I believe, a Ford Lightning....sounds like a pod racer when it hits the top of the RPM band.

I thought the GN in the vid had a 6 in it too, until I read an article on it that said the motor was a race motor out of another car, I aslo heard that that GNX did really well in it's class that season. I can't wait to get my hands on GT4, lol. I also can't wait to drive the GNX. I wonder how far I can get in the game just using the trucks? 💡

Looking forward to the Alfa myself, haven't gotten to it yet I'm afraid. Not sure if it's buyable or not.
I did win the '54 Corvette though which is a lot of fun. 2 very tall gears and a lot of body roll! It has whitewalls, but if you put sports or race tires on guess what? No whitewalls. Cool.
Have you tried the Toyota Sport 800? That looks like a fun little car. That, and the Alpine.

Im not really into muscle cars but there is one old muscle car in the game that i want to get, and that is the 1969 corvette stingray...
I had that (or a similar one) in gran turismo 2 and i liked it alot...

I hope the Corolla AE86 will be as great as it used to be in GT3.
Dont really care about other "classic" cars.

How exactly is this a "classic" car? Classic is 25 years old. The AE86 is close but not quite.
Not to mention he posted that he was looking for "Pre-1980" cars......

I don't think the real 427 ever had any kind of top. QUOTE]

Infact, the 427 did have a soft top. Like PD did in GT3. It is a hiddious top because a car like the Cobra should be "open".
But how hiddious it maybe, it is correctly done.

...they did not include one single firebird-trans am...:( :( :( :(

imagine getting an 81 trans am with that gigantic bird portrait on the hood and putting so much power to those back wheels...

and a 2002 trans am WS6 with its beautiful sound

The Cobra (Shelby or AC versions) with it's four speed is amazing. Much harder to drive (fast) than in Gt3. Great fun! What else do you expect from a cobra?

The Triumph spitfire is fun. it spends more time sideways that going forward but it has a charm to it that I love.

The VW beetle, original, is fun and all stock...but upgrade it fully to just under 90hp and you have one of the most fun cars ever to be in the GT series. Same for the Karmman Ghai...as close as we have to a real Porsche speedster in the GT series!

American muscle cars...not my thing (but if you like them then you'll be happy in GT4) but the Cuda is fun to take around laguna. Slow as death for 390ps (I can lap fast times in my 107ps Karmman Ghai), but fun. I guess it is made for the drag strip. Again not my thing, the drag strip that is.

The Merc 1886 cars. Useless and undriveable in GT4. But I am glad they are in, it is great to see them.

The Datsun (Nissan) Zs....they are Z cars, what else can you expect but them being amazing.

I love the old skylines, but like the R34 better.

Most of the "old" cars sound amazing though! The cobra being one of my favs!

All in all I am happy there are more older cars in GT4 but feel they missed many. I want classic 20s/30s/40s GP cars (like the Auto Union streamliner for the PAL GT4). I want more 60s European sportscars (Alfas, jags, Astons, Mercs). I want Porsche spyders and speedsters. Hell I just want Porsches period! I want old Ferraris, a few from each decade.

The best car in the game, IMO, isn't really a classic by most standards, but it is almost 20 years old. The 1987 Ruf "yellowbird" CTR...nice!
