I know, I wonder if its something to do with 'Etidsgate' or if SM has removed it or what. No idea yet but I wont be pleased if there is shenanigans :banghead:

Skullduggery afoot me thinks? Seems a bit odd to be complained against. This does need looking into. Because if my suspicions (and many others I am presuming) are true then that is bang out of order 👎

We may never know but I am sure it gets a 👎 from everyone :(

Aw really i was looking forward to looking further into this

The truth will out, from now on it is to be reffered to as the 'turnipgate' scandal!

Wow you guys skyrocketed ahead of me^

Sm - Thanks, its oraganising these racing series that does it :)

Skate- You comment on a wider variety of things if thats any compensation :D

Where are the other voters, the poll is hotting up (the only one I care about strongly is the start method)

I voted for a pace lap/rolling start when you put the poll up, but I'm tempted to change it to a grid start depending on whether the "false start check" would be on or not.

Unfortunatley you cant change it mate 👎
I like the false start check too, thats why I used it the other night.

If we had false start check off, I'd be in favour of a standing start.

We could have talked about that after
Lets see where the poll goes.

Smithaz, Etid, Spurgey and Flood have yet to vote along with 3 others.

Nice one PB fingers crossed he gets an F1, 2 in 3 chance!

Anyone done better than a 1:45.325 at Grand Valley? Just got that in my 4th lap of practice tonight. Figured I should practice as I'd not driven the car since we last gathered at Grand Valley.

EDIT: Was doing part of the first sector wrong. Found another 0.443 (over the whole lap, though most was that first sector), getting me a 1:44.882, which I'll find hard to hit again considering how on the edge the lap was. I'll probably be happy hitting 1:45.0xx's as my fastest laps on fresh tyres and with some fuel out of the tank.

EDIT 2: Checking what counts as 2 tyres on the track: are curbs/rumble strips counted as "part of the track"? (meaning you could have 4 tyres on them, with none of the tarmac). I'm also guessing that we can't have more than 2 tyres on the concrete runoff areas (e.g. exit of second to last corner).

I'm currently working out whether a 2 stop or 3 stop would be quicker for me. The setup I have on the Jag means that it picks up mostly understeer as the tyres wear.

Another Edit: Are we allowed to enter the pits as fast as we want, or will there be some kind of speed limit?

Yet another edit: found another 0.204, to get a 1:44.678 . Going that quick in the actual race would wear my tyres out too quickly if I were to 2 stop.

Too many edits: 1:44.556 I think I'm done practicing. >_>

I havent tried GVS since so no idea, probably 5 seconds slower a lap at the moment :)
1.44 is a sweet time mate. The kurbs are included as part of the track and the concrete run off at the 2nd to last is considered part of the track, anyone who disagrees is welcome to watch every lap of all 16 cars if they like 👎
No speed limit into pits (some tracks will penalise you by holding you in the pits for 5-10 seconds if you enter too fast).

Joe, thats some really fast times youve got there, sakery and tom are the fastest Ive seen so far at low 1.45s and they're usually quite far out infront. What fuel load was that on? I can get into the 1.45s with 3/4s of a tank and 1.46s from full.

I reckon I could run a couple of tenths faster if the second to last corner is fair game, i've been avoiding putting 4 wheels off track up to now.

EDIT: Also, what about the corner before the second hairpin, which crests over and has a big curb (turn 3/4). Is it two wheels on track there?

The track is represented by the tarmac and the curbs, there will be no cutting allowed however we are not going to be too crazy on the fine details. You can use the wide curbs and the concrete run off on 2nd to last turn with no risk of penalty. We still need a couple of stewards.
