So after messing around lots I've figured out that there is actually clutch slip in gt5.
I'm going to assume that this goes for all the steering wheels with clutches, but for sure works on the g25. Unfortunately at this time I can't post a video, but I'll work on that part.
The way it works: There is a certain spot that the clutch is sort of half-engaged. Before I assumed the clutch was just an on/off switch. But yesterday while slowly (and I mean slowly) lifting up the clutch I noticed that even though the car was still hitting the rev limiter, it was gaining speed. This puzzled me at first so I let the clutch out all the way and I sped up normally with the clutch fully engaged.
I tried again and the same thing happened. It seems that there is a sweet spot for the clutch to actually slip like it would in a real car! Though the spot is very, very small and you will never run into it while driving normally. I thought it was cool that PD has actually put in clutch slip! Whether it was intentional or not..
The spot is (I think) about halfway of what the peddle moves. Sorry about that terrible terminology I can't remember the word!
Go try this out for yourself and see if it puts a silly smile on your face like it did mine.
👍
