Hi all,

Ive had this idea in my head for some time now and im pretty sure something like this hasnt been done before, i thought id post it here and see what you guys think.

Its a time trial competition.

But not your usual one and heres why.

A track will be chosen, and certain rules will be layed down such as:

500bhp and under only.

4WD or RWD only.

No nitrous allowed.

and so on and so forth.

Its basically the person to get the best time with a car of their choice as long as it stays within the rules. Picture evidence is vital and all times (with pictures) can be posted in this thread or e-mailed to me, a leaderboard will be set-up on my blog and whoever posts the fastest time wins the round.

Now heres where it gets fun.

Whoever wins the round chooses the track, the bhp limit and any rules they wish, they could provide a list of what cars can or cannot be used, and so forth, any rules are allowed, and the winner of that round picks the rules for the next and so on and so forth.

As long as the rules arent entirely stupid.

There are a few ultimate rules, layed down by me which cannot be broken:

1. So to give everyone a fair chance, no formula 1 cars are allowed, and no toyota minolta race car, bently speed 8, and all of those insanely fast gt style cars, because alot of people dont have them yet and therefore will not be able to take part, so reasonable cars only.

2. No cheating with the pictures, if there is cheating then you will be disqualified.

3. You must stick within the rules, no comprimise.

4. Be nice, its only for fun.

Im just testing the water, if it sounds stupid or has been done before exactly like this then feel free to ask the moderators to close the thread.

Just thought it would be a cool idea.

Thanks for your time.

I suggest just going to the Wekkly Race Series bro, same thing but you don't get to choose the track and car yourself, all the best racers in GT are there though, and I mean the best. But you get put into a division anyway.

Yeah i read up on that, problem is you need video evidence and i cant get it because i dont think i have that card you need, anyways, it has loads of rules, and this was supposed to be alot more casual.

I suggest checking the whole online racing forum here, and I bet you'll find some racing that you would like to participate in. The spot racing forum seems to be you're best bet.

Also, I don't have video evidence and I still participate, just means that if you get a gold time you'll be disqualified for that week, like me in week 139, but if you truly are as casual as I am you won't care. Not that your idea wasn't a good one, it's good to see people putting ideas out there and I appreciate that but I still think your best bet will be to participate in one of the online race series.👍

Yeah fair enough, might aswell enter and see how good i am! See you soon.

If you get in the WRS on time, this weeks combo is at Nurburgring. The rules are simple, keep on the track basically. The replay device is the Datel .max usb flashdrive.
Hope to see you soon

there used to be a possibility to upload a video, but I think that one's been scrapped.

In all honesty, your time will most likely be questioned (and thus asked for evidence) if you're in the top 3, or if your times seem dodgy (as in gaining an insane amount of time where no one else has). If you're driving mid-pack, no evidence will be asked for, usually.

Oh thats cool, its not likely that ill be the best, seeing as ive only just started playing GT4 again, after the disk stopped working!

But if evidence is asked am i allowed to produce picture evidence? i can always take a clear snapshot from my webcam.

I'm afraid picture evidence isn't allowed, nor video evidence.

By all means try our series. If you like it then perhaps you might not mind buying a device to prove your times. 👍

I sent my qualifying lap time about an hour ago anyway, im waiting to hear confirmation but ill definitely be investing in that max disc or whatever its called i looked it up on play, so ill definitely invest.👍

Cool, feel free to run this weeks race whilst you wait for your qualifying submission to be processed. Good luck, and have fun. 👍
