From what it looks like, yes, its a Linux only thing at the moment.
Regardless, things like this that look super pretty are typically after smashing yer forehead into the keyboard for hours before its that pretty. Right now, I do not really have a computer that would reasonable handle this, or else I would test it out. I could see if the Linux guys I know have fiddled with it much and hear their thoughts on it.
My Litestep is jealous, but the virtual desktop bit is lost when you have two monitors (or its buggy to hell and back), and I like having drivers
I never did like making the wiggling (forgot the name Beryl uses) effect. Only thing I had turned off. Have they got this one working on Feisty Fawn (Ubuntu 7.04)?
I got this installed on my Linux partition last night. Tried to get things running but there were so many glitches I gave up. I read though the forums this morning and I may be able to get it working tonight. Problem is, I'm impatient and not very good with Linux.
