I do actually try the 'joke method'. Sometimes I'll say something funny to try and ease the situation, but I do that in any bad situation, with or without my dad. Sometimes it works, sometimes he just stares at me, and then I realise it probably wasn't as funny as I thought it was. Even on Monday, I can't remember what I said but I joked about it and he just gave me a look and told me it wasn't funny. :indiff:

We had a mondeo estate (the version that existed before bruiser) i missed that for ages it was well used and full of memories. It had something like 210,000 miles on the clock when my dad sold it, now i miss the passat we just sold dearly.:town:

It's quite weird how we get attached to cars like we do, I mean, they're just inanimate objects... or are they?

Thats sort of good in the sense that he's more likely to listen to your opinion.

We're all here for you on GTP make no mistake so we will listen and try to suggest ways to help but this is about what you feel comfortable doing/saying and only after you've thought about everything a lot...

Thanks for that. The thing is though, if I do ask him that, and he'll probably tell me that the thing that's bothering him is my mum, should I tell him the fact it's not fair the way he treats her? Should I just plain tell him that he needs to learn that not everyone is perfect? I'm not sure when the right moment to actually have a conversation like this will be... I tend to avoid uneasy situations like this the best I can.

Yes, you're his daughter. But it depends on how you say it. And never have a conversation like that with some one that is stressed or in a bad mood. Wait untill he's in a good mood and relaxed.
About the right time to start this conversation, you'll "feel" when can talked to him about your/your mum's problem.

Sorry for the late reply its been a really hectic week, hmm he could do, there seems to be two ways of going about this, theres being confrontational where you'd say something like 'where do you get off talking like that' or being less direct and spending more time with him so that he's more likely to just open up, ho have things been the past few days?

Been too many different ones IIRC, but usually it's something by Metallica or Iron Maiden as they are two of my favorite bands.
 
Today I did what is very common in China to get something I needed. I won't mention the exact dealing but it involved, in part, 'persuading' some people to do something for me for some equivalent of a monetary donation, if you get my drift.

It was all for the good and I'd do it again if I had too.

Today I was showing a friend Of mine my car's exhaust sound so I hit it on an on ramp and passed a car while merging and came a bit close, the other car even swerved a bit Because Of the scare. I feel like a 🤬 now

I came home late, and my parents were pissed i said i was mountain biking all that time, but i was with my gf *making out* I did not regret that lie.

Ever since ive been Home School ive lost alot. I Dont feel the same, I have nothing to do. And very Lonely. GTPlanet what keeps me going honestly :). Also my GF is also what keeps me running... I think its time i introduce her to my parents :nervous:

I have a real confession right here. A few pages back in this thread I learned about pillow girlfriend. That night I selected my pillow girlfriend and she's been helping me sleep, but recently I've been cheating on her with blanket girlfriend. I'm so confused because I originally fell for pillow, but blanket offers so much more warmth and length...

I had to hide my pillow girlfriend from sight.

I'm so ashamed.
