I don't see why it shouldn't. Can you access your email, and click on the link in the email sent to you, using the PS3's web browser?

Ok... so you are saying that you didn't receive your activation email? It probably got stuck in a Junk mail/spam filter. See our account activation help page for more information. You'll also find a link there which will have the email re-sent to you.
