If you would like to participate in season 2 then click on the social group on my public profile page for more information.

I'm starting an endurance kart championship that will involve races of 20 minutes+. Races may involve a pit stop but that's all part of the fun. The series will bring together the battles of karting with the strategy of Le Mans. I've tested this out twice on the nordschleife and it's a lot of fun.

The events are as follows:
Saturday 5th Feburary Tsukuba Circuit 25 laps CALM_DAN
Saturday 12th Feburary Eiger Nordwand 38 laps CALM_DAN
Saturday 19th Feburary Autumn Mini Reverse 52 laps Matzomat
Saturday 26th Feburary Suzuka Circuit 15 laps PETE-H-1976
Saturday 5th March Cote d'azur 25 laps L-Kirjain
Saturday 12th March Autumn Ring 35 laps Zhavior_
Saturday 19th March London 36 laps Zhavior_
Saturday 26th March Grand Valley 25 laps L-Kirjain
Saturday 2nd April Autumn Ring Mini 100 laps L-Kirjain
Saturday 9th April Nurburgring 24h 6 laps GTP_Galahad23

Season 1 Champion- L-Kirjain

If you cannot make it to every race that is fine but turn up to all the events that you can in order to increase your chances of winning the championship. The prize for winning the championship is an F2007 kindly donated by Hayman17. But unfortunately there is a trading ban so the winner won't
receive an F2007 for winning :(

Points are awarded for the top 6 finishers and I will update the standings here every week:
1st. 10pts
2nd. 6pts
3rd. 4pts
4th. 3pts
5th. 2pts
6th. 1pt

At the end of the season if 2 or more drivers are tied on points then the driver with the most wins will be ahead. If the drivers are still tied then it will go down to who has the most 2nds, 3rds etc. If they are still tied it will go down to who won a race by the largest margin and if that doesn't seperate them then I give up.
Drivers on 0 points will be ranked on highest finishing position. If neither driver has finished a race
then highest qualifying will decide who is ahead.
Lobbies will start between 8:00pm and 8:30pm GMT and race starts at 9:00pm.

If you would like to join please add me, thomas_stacey94 or Zhavior_.
Ramming and deliberate pushing is not allowed and any driving like that will lead to disqualification.

If over 16 people want to join then each race will operate on a first come first serve basis per race.

6 laps of the ring in a kart? Are you insane?!!?! Those races are going to take a lot longer than 20 minutes, and be ultra boring going round most corners full throttle.

seriously racing around the ring isn't boring. You have to find the right strategy, make no mistakes, battling fellow driver over a thin space of tarmac and the the threat of rain.
Not as many corners are flat out and it's more exciting than you'd think when pushing like mad to get ahead in the pits.

Sounds like fun. I would be in for sure, but that's a little too late in the day for me.
2 hours earlier and I would have been all over it.
I might look into starting my own kart league like this though, because this is a really good idea.

Yeah, it's a great idea and makes up for the lack of go kart events in the game.
And the opponents won't be so slow this time :D

I love the ring in proper cars, but in karts just doesn't sound like my cup of tea.

Your dates are wrong. The 5th is a Saturday and so on xD I'd join if it definitely is a Saturday, cause I can't race on Sundays :P

If it was around 3hrs earlier, I join. :(

Sounds awesome though! Karting at the ring would be different and a real challenge. The kerbs are pretty high and would need to be avoided at all costs, which I can't do as instinct just puts me on the kerbs.. :P

Make sure the time is set to daylight, a group of us raced the ring with the time set to 2000, boy was that the hardest 25 minutes of driving there was rain, spray and best of all no headlights.

I'll see try to make 2 hours earlier if I can but would 8pm be ok with you because a lot of people are having there dinner at 7pm on a saturday.

Don't worry it will be light however it could get wetter.

Sounds very very interesting.
Are there any prizes?

you get money on the game for winning but there aren't prizes for the championship unfortunately:tdown:
It will be fun though, competitive racing and time to make up for accidents on the early laps.
Hope to see you at the race :)

Another question, how will you determine if a nudge is actually a deliberate attempt to ram?
And how many times are you allowed to change line to block your opponent?
Thanks :)

dabest2500
constant pushing people off the track is considered ramming. You are allowed to change line once to defend so essentially just no weaving.

dabest
if you miss the first race that's ok you can always race in the others. Most people will probably miss at least one race anyway

I'd definitely like to get in on this. I'll send you a message when I'm finished the race I'm doing.

Stpatty
now that you mention it that does seem quite long lol!
Which is the best version of cape ring and how long is a lap of that?
