Be a valued member of the community and then get nominated by extant moderating staff. Jordan and the other admin decide who they want as moderators - in secret in the ultra-hidden secret moderator's secret forum secret.

Administrators have full control over the forums. We have handle user options, forum settings, and banishment options. Super moderators have access to a more limited selection of tools. I'm still the owner/operator of this site, and I still have ultimate authority over everything that goes on here. Now, with Der Alta and neon_duke, I don't have to be the only one stuck doing everything that requires administrator permissions.

He's still around occasionally, but he is pursuing other projects at the moment. I'm still an administrator at www.neons.org despite the fact that I haven't posted regularly in two years. I've drifted away from that community for a variety of reasons though I'm glad I was able to help it out too when I was an active member.
