They're also just doing cars that are already done. Why pay like $33,000 or whatever to turn a Testarossa into a convertible is a waste. The Testarossa can easily be traded with some cash (When you own a Testrossa, you got some money) to get a Testarossa Convertible. BTW, the Lamborghini Targa tops are way better than those.

And the trucks are down right rediculous!
Who the **** wants a Escalade or Navigator convertible?
I think the Navigator is perfect. And why can't they take off the roll bar? REAL convertibles don't have it. But then again, those aren't the real deal at all.

A 4-door Crossfire Convertible? Chrysler must be proud of these guys. I appreciate what they're trying to. Alot of their cars look awesome, but others just aren't meant for it.

Same goes for pretty much any unibody car--the roof is a structural member in any such car. So really, trucks/SUVs would be the only sensible vehicles to convert.

I think the only body-on-frame car sold in the US today is the Crown Vic/Grand Marquis. Am I correct?

That is correct, although many cars have been converted to ceonvertibles from the factory, without compromising any sort of chassis strength. A good example is the Pagani Zonda Roadster.
