I was jus thinkin how cool GT2 was and how they should
do a revised GT2 with PS2 graphics. It would be so cool
cause there are sooo many cars on GT2 (the most of them all
i think) it would be a dope game.

they started to do that and ended up making a whole new game, gt3, but i completely agree with you, hopefully gt4 will full fill that dream =)

Well bro, graphics, updated cars, tracks and glitch free. I think that they will re-release GT2 on the next portable console, Play Station Portable. Hope it wil be possable.

They should have had DA style Integras on GT2 and EF hatchies

R33 F, well the only EF-spec body Civic that came out on GT2 was the CRX SiR. But regarding the DA/DB-spec body Integra, sorry but it never happend. That why I at still high hopes of the DA/DB integra in GT4.

Well I hope that GT4 will come close to what GT2 was but with PS2 graphics. Hopefully all the old tracks will be included in GT4 along with most of the cars from GT2.

I couldn't diargee withyou GT3Freak_2001, plus some from GT1, like one of my fav tracks, The Original Special Stage R11:

When I played GT3, I got pissed on what they do to the S.S. R11.

PD already did that. It was going to be called GT2000. PD were half finished with it when they discovered they could do a much better job with the graphics, so they stopped and started over. Since the new game was not going to be released in 2000, PD changed the name to GT3. Since they started over, PD could not include all the cars they wanted.

Actually, they will revise GT3 for the PSP console, and as I presume, some kind of Gran Turismo Portable should be among the first games for the PSP.

And Solid, just one correction: GT2000 was never meant to be a game. It was just an technical demo shown during the Japanese Tokyo Game Show in early year 2000, that featured Lancer on Seattle track. You could drive it for an limited time and then demo would quit. It was basicailly an GT2 engine done with few times more polygons in 30 fp/s and limited color palette, made to run on new PS2 hardware.

During the same TGS 2000 presentation Polyphony shown a very radical movie sequence of an night race of RX-7 and GT-R, which was "showing the final look of an new GT game that will appear on PS2". Sadly, radical graphic shown there was just an teaser because GT3 has never achieved the looks of that movie.

BTW I'm among few lucky bastards that actually own an original copy of the GT2000, together with the original case, so I know what I'm talking about in this matter :).

Do you know that GT4 will have more cars and tracks that GT2?

GT4 will be a better game overall, come on, crowds, pit crews, covertibles with drivers, better tracks (in my opinion) and even more cars than ever before.

GT4 will be like all the other games in the GT series. An improvement of something that is already an excellent game.
