Do we know if it has those lights?

I thought it hasnt been revealed yet.

+1

Ofcourse it can be upgraded, the fact the prototype couldn't be upgraded doesn't mean the production car can't.

There must have been a good reason why the C7 Proto couldn't be upgradable, and I understand that. :) So this means the C7 Production model could be. :) What I hope for is it has similar body parts like the C6 ZR1 to add on it, to make a made up version of a C7 ZR1. If not than I'm okay, I'm just dying to paint it red.

You could indeed imagine several reasons why it couldn't be upgraded, one is that we were invited to do the final testing (ofcourse not to be taken seriously) which would be a bit pointless if we could alter its behaviour.

Another thing might be that tuning it might reveal something they wouldn't want to show just yet (there's absolutely no info what the stock settings are for example).

And maybe they just wanted to postpone the "OMG, it sounds like a piece of crap, same sample used as blah blah, fire the sound guy" comments for a little longer. ;)

One of the reason could be that like you've said about altering its behaviour, and for us to test its greatness. ;)

Agreed. Gotta know and learn about it first before messing with it 👍

Hahaha! That is so true.

Chevrolet might actually get mad if the final model sounds as bad as the proto. Chevrolet have made five step engine sound control to C7 and it sounding like crap in video game is not good marketing. PD might even lose change for future exclusive proto models from the chevy. Sound with american V8s is serious business.

This is true. I hope PD will have the C7's sound corrected than, almost like a test for them.

I desperately hope so as well. I was quite disappointed with the Prototype's sound, and will be very bummed if they can't get a good noise for the real version. If I were PD, though, I might intentionally wait until the actual model to put the real engine noise in, so as to not give away what it sounds like beforehand..

It's to bad we cant predict the reasons behind what PD do.

I do hope the sounds are better than the proto.

What's wrong with the Prototypes sound? I think it's actually decent. No one even knows what the real car will sound like IRL anyway.

It isn't bad, it's just.. It's probably not 100% accurate to what it'll end up as.

But this is expectable, after all it is just the prototype, sorta hard to tell what the real thing is gonna sound like from just the Prototype.

So what time does the real car launch? If they're going to do a simultaneous launch thing in game wouldn't they have told us by now? How did it work for the Subaru?

It is way too high pitched to be a 6.2l V8. Sound is also very thin with no intake sound. Pretty much same as nearly all car sounds in GT5, which only suit to 1.6l i4 engines. Even car professionals like Matt Farrah admit that forza sounds better but also that GT5 teaches much more about driving.

Yes, but do they have really any way of showing what the engine noise really sounds like? It is just the prototype. If I were PD, I'd wait until the full version so as to keep the surprise of what the engine actually sounds like.

I believe they did something similar in Prologue simultaneously launching the new Impreza. I didn't have it though so I don't know how it worked exactly.

Like this:

Yeah I meant more of how did it happen in relation to the real event? Same time, few hours later? Did you just log in and the video was there?

I just noticed that the unvail time for the Vette corresponds with the reset time. Sorry if this has already been mentioned, I'm a little slow today, lol.

Logged into the game, it unveiled after the unveil time. It didn't happen in real time.

CargoRat, what reset time?!!!
