Im Tupac, have you updated Half Life to the latest version also? It should be 1.1.1.0, if you have it looks like it could be because of a firewall. I had a problem like that a while back when I got my router, I had to do a bunch of stuff to get it to work.

I play CS.. Just started again recently, actually. Anyway, favorite gun is the Steyr Aug and fav map is Iceworld (the original). Only thing that pisses me off about is the fact that so many people use the damn AWPs on that map.. Why not learn how to use a REAL gun. ... Damn people.

Anyway, my nick on there is Acid X. (Duh.) I too play on servers that have the lowest ping. (usually around 15-40) I love my connection.

One thing i DONT like is the fact that my computer gives me glitches every once and a while.. I'll play and all of a sudden the comp will freeze up for 1 sec and start going again. It happens periodically throughout the game (or any game for that matter) while i am playing. It's annoying, but i get used to it. I have a feeling it has something to do with the onboard audio, but until i get a real soundcard i'll live with it, because it's alot better than what used to happen with my computer (random complete crashes, etc) - It's alot better now tha ti have a new motherboard. :)

Soon i will be getting a new video card, too.. Radeon 9600 XT 256mb DDR.. Oooh yeah. :D (Currently have a Radeon 9100 128mb..)
 
I got a 9800 pro too...

Oh yeah, tainted, not to sound like a ***** or suckup but you should know that illegal downloading shouldn't be talked about here...

Besides, if I even considered downloading it, what's the point? I'd rather be playing it online with a genuine key than just have a single player ****ty game (which is what cs is without online capability)
 
I've heard from alot of people that the 256mb version of the 9600xt is actually worse (by a few fps) than the 128mb version. I'm deciding to get the 128mb version instead (saving about 10 bucks) and getting a few extra case fans to go with it. So i get more for less. Ooh yeah! :)

Where are you buying from and what brand is it?

I recently got a Gigabyte 9600XT and I'm loving it. Don't have CS, though. Been interested, thus my browsing this thread.

Both were standard ATI produced versions.

Anyway, i shall be getting the gigabyte 9600xt this weekend aswell. :)

Anyone remember C&C Renegade? That's the kind of FPS I like. Some stratagy is involved but it's just silly fun. Not really that realistic, although good graphics are a plus. Most of the FPS I've tried I didn't like because they were just too realistic, ie. BF42, AA, Just don't like'em.

Can anyone compare CS to Renegade?
 
You should try Unreal Tournament if you don't want too realistic, but a fantastic game.

Knife matches are fun! Cuz it takes quite a bit of skills when it's 1 against 2 or something :p hey shadowblade, perhaps we can meet up on Zeno's server some time! =)

Wow, just played right now haha... i learned how to use the colt again :D
I was having troubles with it earlier, haha since i was experimenting CS with ONLY a deagle throughout the whole game.... now that i got the colt-ing back, i'm a lot better! YAY. Just like before!

Did you know using a deagle throughout the game is actually not that bad, if you get used to it? It's actually works like a primary gun! Just that you dont have a spare gun in hand...when you want to pistol....(which sometimes i buy like a mp5 or something as backup) Weird eh? Using a secondary as primary and primary as secondary :lol:

But HEY, it's FUN that way!
 
yeah, i love the dessert eagle.its so fun to own and embarass ppl who uses the stronger rifles like awp M4 and AK.i owned a lot of them.just move left and right.i always point at their heads.man Deagles are full of fun.
