I find Loeb to be an odd choice for Pescarolo - I mean, a rally driver? Sure, he's good, but he's used to driving sideways, and correct me if I'm wrong, but unless you're Famine at Motegi SS, it's pretty damn hard to A) get a car to go sideways at 240mph and B) control it ...

well i'm pretty sure he's had some practice with the car by now, I would really love to see michael schumacher do le mans one day it would be awesome, the best driver in the world in a 24 hour race w00t! 👍

11 june:GTP readers should send their thought to the victims!!

Le Mans should have drivers from all over the motorsportworld: Its great that a champion like Seb Loeb attends and we should have both Schumacher and Rossi, its the european Indy 500.
Bourdais is already there and Tom Kristensen! Crossovermotorsports, unique happening.

Wish they would let more cars into race 💡

-50 years today since the factory Merc, flew over a pitting Austin Healey and sommersaulted onto the stadium and killed 85 people in LE MANS

Do you race?

In his initial outing I think he was only 10 seconds off the pace set by his co-drivers. That's pretty good for a guy who just got off the jet and had competed in several rally stages a few hours earlier!

Let's not forget that a certain Mr. Colin McRae was driving a Ferrari last year and I think his car was 3rd in class. Sadly he didn't get a drive this year.

I hope the Pescalros(sp?) win. By and by Speed Channel was brought by Fox when the they got their NASCAR contract and they bought with the intention of making it a NASCAR outlet. So out WRC, Dakar, and all the good roadracing in NASCAR crap.

Well I'm cheering for the Pescarolos and Ferrari's. Hoping that Loeb's car will win it all. I think there's about 20 hours of coverage on speed this year, so I'll be watching alot of it.

Schumi has already driven at the LeMans, it was back before i was even in school though, so I can't tell you how he did. I'd love top see him give it another go.

goddam nascar pisses me off.

I know so many people who hate nascar, yet it seems to keep growing in popularity. When will people ever realise how much better racing is when there's actual turns. I wish Speed would realise that aswell. 20 hours of the their daily programming is nascar. I would kill for a little JGTC or Australian supercar action every once in a while.

Yes, it is good. I guess I should have taken into account the part about Loeb being a tarmac specialist.

How could I forget?! I used to be the biggest McRae fan, but when Citroen showed him the door, I totaly lost interest in rallying.

I would love to see some jgtc, but noooo we have to all 40,000 types of fricken cups that nascar has. homo racing= nascar.
We get it. You hate Nascar.

No need to keep posting the same d*mn thing.
And this is all your opinion. There's over 1.4million people who enjoy Nascar, and I doubt anyone of them give a crap if you like it or not.

EvilToast
Well Sorry for agreing with nate. btw there are 26 million fans of f1.
So? That's pretty much world wide.
Nascar is basically a big US sport. F1 is a big world wide sport.
USA fans against a World Wide fans.

People don't need to realize anything. If they enjoy Nascar, let them. Its not your goal to change their views. And if you try, its sad.

Maybe you don't enjoy Nascar like they do.

lmao you're twisting words and you're sounding like an idiot i said i didn't like nascar not 000gh n@sc@r Sux0rzzz 3v3ry1 4@t3 1t w1t4 m3.

Oh my God NASCAR sucks every one ???? it ???? me.

There is usually LeMans coverage online... at least a webcast.

Audi has less hp and more ballast from last year (mandated). The R8s are probably the best endurance racers of all time so they have nothing to prove. Maybe (hopefully) someone may make a race of it.

And maybe Panoz can crack that parade of 911s too.

<<--- NASCAR/F1/WRC/Sportscar Fan. Screw Indy.

GO MG!!

<<--- NASCAR

How can anyone like to watch NASCAR? Watching chevies and fords race round a loop for what is it?...2 hours! The only thing remotely interesting about NASCAR are the crashes which should not be the case!! NASCAR = 👎 MOTO GP 👍

Anyway..is the gorgeouse DBR9 going to be racing at Le Mans?

I'm trying to find a site showing pictures of all the entries.
Anyone have a link to something like that?
The official site is pretty useless in the photo department.

On a different note. I Feel your pain (Americans), not being able to see the whole race, or at least half of it. Glad i'm not in your shoes! Personally i'm gonna watch every frickin' minut of it ;) :sly:
Where? Here in Germany we only get to see it on Eurosport, which shows (as usual) only fragments of the 24 hours.

It's really strange or not? All the american motorsport fans complain about Nascar 24/7, all the europeans complain about F1 24/7, nobody gets to see what he really likes. :grumpy:

I for my part would love more GT Racing coverage, especially JGTC which has the best cars.

(and I would kill to get NFL Sunday Ticket here, but that's another story... :) )
