If u can get 24/7 F1 i want to buy your tv :)
They even show us the ****ing Drivers' parade, where they are driving them around the race track for the fans in the stands. :yuck:

Goddamn it, what a waste of airtime. I mean, you could show a taped JGTC-Race in that slot.

Wow we only get the practices, qualy, and the race, plus the abridged post-race press conference. Not that there's a whole lot more to it, and I wouldn't really want to watch the parade, but it would be nice to see Martin Brundle walking the pitlane and chatting to everyone.

I checked my local listings last night and it looks like we'll get bits and pieces of the Le Mans 24 hours, probably about 5-6 hours in total :irked:

Wow! Great link! Thanks a ton, dougiemeats!

I think we can all safely assume that we'll see the number 4 Playstation Team Oreca Audi R8 and the numbers 16 and 17 Pescarolo Judds in the next version of Gran Turismo. Geez, look at those Playstation and GT4 logos plastered all over them. The GT4 graphic on top of the wings is huge.

That'll be great and all, but if they don't also include the C6R and DBR9, I'll just sit down and have a good cry.

(And for that matter, some of the LMP2 cars would be very cool, along with a couple of the Dome LMP1 cars. Wishing for the Maranellos and Porsches is too much to ask for, unfortunately...)

i would kill to see f1 all day, at least its exciting. 👍

If you want excitement watch Moto GP and watch the amazing valentino rossi! Formula 1 is boring tbh...i watch it whenever it is on but there is just no overtakin and no close racing!...Whereas the last moto gp race had the top 12 riders qualifying within 0.700 of each other and on race day you dont know how is going to become 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th until past the checkered flag. 1st is always covered by valentino rossi who is walking away with the championship but unlike schumacher in 2004, he is actualy working for his wins and you clearly see how much effort and skill he puts in and has

I sort of hi-jacked this topic with this post :dunce: :ouch: 👎 Soorrryyy

'Actually, the Audis are so massively restricted this year after winning so much, the pescarolos are looking to be the favorites. '

Thats not correct. The Audis, Dallaras and other older cars are actually built to the old LMP900 regs. These are being phased out and are being restricted with less power and more weight.

This will be the last year for the R8s.

The Pescarolos, Courage C60 and Dome are 'hybrids'. These are old LMP900 cars that have been modified to the new regs. This means they have upto 100-150BHP more power and 50kg less weight than the R8s.

There are no completly new LMP1 cars yet built. However next year we will see a new Audi R10, Lola, Zytek, Riley and Peugeot!

Porsche will have a new LMP2 ready later this year (run by Penske in the ALMS) to be followed by an LMP1. Nissan are also rumoured to be coming back with a prototype.

And guess what, the Peugeot will be a DIESAL!!!!

This is the new Riley:-

BTW in the UK theres around 8 hours live coverage on Eurosport , plus more coverage on Eurosport 2.

Speed TV in the US has something like 15 hours+ live coverage.

You know, I wonder what happened to Lister's LMP car they designed. According to their site, the car is still racing today.

Its racing in the LMES this year.

They will have a new car next year.

Re: coupes, Dome will also have one, and who knows what the Audi, Peugeot etc. will be.

There will also be a new car from Jan Lammers (Racing for Holland). It will be a coupe and, get this, is rumoured to have a Ferrari engine.

GT Freak!
How can anyone like to watch NASCAR? Watching chevies and fords race round a loop for what is it?...2 hours! The only thing remotely interesting about NASCAR are the crashes which should not be the case!! NASCAR = 👎 MOTO GP 👍

Anyway..is the gorgeouse DBR9 going to be racing at Le Mans?
Yes to DBR9

And would you enjoy Nascar if it were more like this?

And Nascar is 95% oval.

Honestly, I'd watch Nascar at TMS any time I could. To get the chance to see Nascar at the track is something I'd never pass down.

Nice.

I've always admired Lister Racing. The paint scheme is cool, and the LMP in Total Immersion Racing was so much fun and sounded great! :dopey:

...Is it me, or is anyone else getting music right now?

Yes. Click on "Listen Live" and an online Windows Media Player opens. I'm assuming we'll get race coverage this weekend rather than lame pop and hip-hop...

Remember that it's been more than 10 years since Peugeot seen the promised land at Le Mans. Would be interested to see this French make win on French soil. I can probably see Peugeot as instant favorites in terms of home-field advantage, much like the Pescarolos with those beautiful Courage prototypes. I'm starting to like Courage nowadays in sportscar racing. Very nice designs.

It's a shame to see Peugeot leave rally for sportscar racing. Peugeot did pretty well. I'd probably go on a limb to say that Peugeot was the French equivalent of Lancia, in terms of a great and dominant rally brand. Let me just race the Peugeot 307 WRC in the next GT, but that's another story for another time :).
