Hmm Is there any way to put off the emails from each message that comes here? My inbox is getting full pretty fast and I unmarked the email button from preferences already.

I'm having this site open all the time and refresh it few times a day so I believe I still get informed. :)

You should be able to unwatch the thread at the top of each page under the title.

There should be an email notification option next to the unwatch button

Did you find out how?

Have You guys been thinking getting assetto corsa? I never drove pc with more than two human opponents because none of my ps4 friends like driving simulation games and my experiences driving with random people have been wreckfest...

I have had a little time today to do a few runs at the first stage we will be using next week for Rally Greece.

For a change I recorded it live to show the view I use (bonnet cam - I know a lot of people think this is a cheat and to be as authentic as possible I should be using an interior view but I have used this view since the first Colin McRae game on the PS1 and it works for me) and the fact that I only have the rev counter on display (I like as few distractions as possible to take my eye off the stage. If it was possible I would do away with the rev counter but I find it vital for finding first gear in hairpin corners - I wish neutral was some how gated so you couldn't accidentally change down to it.)

I would also like to offer this video as a bit of a learning tool for the members that are finding difficulty with pace, have a look at some of the lines I take, try to find areas you can cut. The other advice I would like to offer is cornering with these cars, I find coming into tighter corners I gently apply brake pressure as I enter the corner which forces the car into oversteer which I then control on the throttle. This is just my proffered technique but I hope it can help some of you.

Good luck to you all

Thinking of but the online experience is not going to be anywhere near as good as pCARS to start with.

Have a look at the CRAP pCARS threads here on GTP for some good races with generally good clean racers. I need to get into pCARS again but dont have the time as its my busy season at work. Come the autumn and darker nights I will be in full race mode 👍:gtpflag:

I have it pre-ordered. Hope to see some of you guys online. The problem is my time zone. I pretty much never am on when you guys are racing PCars and I feel it will be the same with AC.

Very nice "Double caution right 5 over jump" at the end. You take that very nice. I HATE that jump!

I don't think hood view is cheating. To each his own. It depends on the game for me. In DR I feel very comfortable with the cockpit view. I usually move the seat forward and a bit up. I DO NOT like the dash cam, however.

Opposite is PCars. In 75% of the vehicles I just can't get comfortable in the cockpit. Way too much interior blocking the view and if I move the seat forward too far then I lose my mirrors.

I use hood view until i get used to the game, then I try to use cockpit as much as I can

Well... another disastrous event for me. At least I finished this time. At kailajarvi I did a 4:04 S2 then 3:54 S5 or around there. After finishing I went back to kailajarvi with my Fiesta and did a 3:41. Then tried Polo and did a 3:29. Went back to Fiesta and did a 3:17. I'm slowly getting there! Haven't tuned any car in DiRT yet so that's what I need to learn next

I always use bumper cam. Like you, ever since the first Gran Turismo on the PS1.

I practice sometimes in first person view...but find I see far better with bumper cam and can be faster.

I can't watch your video at work, but will check it out when I get home. Lord knows, I need all the help I can get in Greece. I struggle for speed there...

Since I'm in Canada, I won't get my copy until Tuesday...but yeah, add me as a friend on the PSN network and I'll race with you.

I haven't order Assetto Corsta yet because I don't want to play it alone. Maybe I've done it too much in the past.

As inspired by Finnish rally championships that was held close to my home I made a weekend last rally league with 13 stages. One with rwd cars and another with awd cars. Im thrilled and will start first stages later today.

I was uncertain if I may advertise it here so I did not. But if anyone of you would like to participate please let me know and I will give you link to this rally.

First of all, that's quite the handsome video presentation. In one watch, I can see that I need to be better at the flick. There's a couple of tight sections where I see where I lose a lot of time, as you're super aggressive...and fearless.

Thanks for that! Cool video...

Yes I was thinking about the same that Eyeseeh50 drives really aggressively compared to my "smooth" lines". I'll try to make one video myself but I am unfamiliar with uploading those videos.

Here's my favourite driver Marcus Grönholm in Ouninpohja (the same stage we have in Dirt). Driving with real rally car 46 second flat out...
