It is amazing, but after the first half of the vid I got the idea.

That line was on it's 10th city block by the end! What's more disturbing is the cameraman actually joined the line at the end! :scared:

All that just for a bunch of iPods and PCs that can be purchased at any decent electronics store...

I wouldn't get in that line, even if they were giving away iPods. I wonder if the camera guy made it to the store, before it closed.

Long line. I wouldn't join that line even if it was half as long. I hate waiting in them.

Yeah, and I mean for Apple stuff... I'd think about it for a PlayStation 3 together with GT6 on it's release date....yeah maybe.... :scared: :sly:

True. If it was for PS3 with GT5;), I'd consider it.

Windows? You still waste your money on faulty programming?

If it were the PS3 and/or GT5 I MIGHT stand in line that long. Of course, I could always wait a few weeks and save money till then. Now if it were a free CAR and a good one, oh yeah, I'd stand in a line like that.

And could anyone tell me why people will spend 250 USD on an iPod when you can spend 250 USD on a PSP and play music AND video games AND movies on a PSP?? Not only that, you can upgrade and get different memory sticks etc.

It was in 2003, so no psp availible at that time... and it was the first Apple shop in Tokyo...I mean japanese game fans camp for days before new consoles, but the line is not so long because there are always several stores....

That line just seemed impossible. There is no way I would wait in line for anything that long. No way! I would just come back a day or to later or I would make sure I was at the front of the line before it started.

Even so, why is the iPod 250 USD if all it does is play mp3/AACs? PDAs can do that for roughly the same price and then some. If the PSP ran Linux or some such, I could imagine it being the most powerful PDA to date. The graphics are sweet on that toy.

Yes of course you're right, it is quite expensive...
