Just bought it, lets see how we go (PS3).

Interested to know what you think of it 👍. I am one happy customer though I understand the complaints being made I went in with an open mind and got a very solid title.

I have played around 3 missions and gotten up to rank 3 online. I havent played enough to form an opinion but it seems to be alright so far. Loving the stealthing around, it was great in Crysis and is still good now :).

Wouldnt mind playing some online with you if you want, assuming you even play online.

I do indeed, only about level 12-13 myself right now though I suspect the hours I play won't be convenient and who knows what the connection will be like .

Sporadically from midday to around 6pm (GMT), any day and sometimes only for a game or 2 . That said in just over a week I'll be at home so I'll probably be on much more for a couple of weeks, or at least have the availability to do so.

What you are saying is 10pm till 4am in the morning here !!

The best part of this is that my sister was staying up late on her ipod facebook app which caused my parents to put a timer on the internet so it shuts off at 10pm and turns back on at 5:30am. Instead of simply taking the ipod from her before bed, they resorted to this :/.

anyone notice that sometimes the stealth kill doesn't work? I have actually gotten close enough to some soldiers to push them around, and i still couldn't do a stealth kill.

I've not had that problem Gab, though of note you have to be cloaked to do it. Infact the oddity I got with the stealth kill is I hit the button just as a guy started to run (MP) and my character automatically followed for a brief few seconds before the guy stalled for a split second which allowed the animation to take place.

@Legend, I told ya so , but I'll do my best to get on in around a week or so when I'm home, at different hours that is.

I noticed a flaw where tanks can see you when cloaked and back away, but don't fire...All around I thought the controller layout is one of the most brilliant ever for a FPS (playing 360 version) I also used the 360 controller on the PC for Crysis and Crysis Warhead, but having to use the radial dial VS key bindings in multiplayer really sucked. This layout means gamepad can compete nicely with keyboard/mouse

I got crysis 2 today.. And i have to say WOW what a graphic!

I run it on 480 gtx singel card.
quade core amd prosessor.
8gig ram

I have it on max and it runs super smoth on 120+ fps..BUT!

But i saw my dear 480 got up to 95 degrees C:S So i got abit worryed about my card over heating. Now i down-cloacked my graphic card as much as i culd and it runs on 80 C*:) And still over 100 fps
And i have A DUST OFF spray i spray every now and thene on the card to keep the temprature low:P 480 gtx is AMEZING but damn it is LOUDE and HOT:P

get fraps and prove it.

Because if true you got one of a kind 480gtx.

Or could it be that you play crysis 1 ( on the island)

I remain sceptical, cause i got a 570gtx and an i7 920 @ 3.6 GHz, and 120fps is a bit much, though i have not tested how much i got.

You mean 120 frames or do you play at 120hz?

And plz test the game and get back to me with your FPS :)

Well depends on the manufactuer and the type of card.

And mine being super cooled down by 3 vents i can easily overclock it without getting to hot, and then prostitute slap even a gtx580

Sure you can also overclock the 580 or 480, but the 400series suffering from noise and temperature issues,....

Just wanted to say it :D

Ok just tested the second level with fraps:
I stand between 60 (max, seems capped) and 36 (min) fps and an average of 52.

BTW, my card is not OC at the moment (just got it a few days)
All settings are on the max, via the program i posted on page 3

44FPS sounds about right. I'm running an OC'd GTX470 in the mid 40s average (x64). Even a spanking new GTX580 is not pushing 60FPS on extreme at 1920x1080. Your 150FPS+ is laughable. But I'm not going to waste my time anymore debating FPS with someone who doesn't know how to use FRAPS, Fan Profiles, or keep a GPU cool.

Onto my comments about the game. I was quite hesitant at first coming into Crysis 2 after hearing it was quite linear and confined, while this is true in comparison to Crytek's previous games (Crysis and Far Cry), compared to most modern FPS it's a friggen Sandbox. Enjoying the ability to tackle situations and scenarios (obviously talking Single Player here) the way that I want. Do I use stealth and silenced weapons? Do I flank around? Do I armor up and try to steal that mounted gun? It's quite refreshing to have this ability to change it up in comparison to the super scripted games which currently are super popular (Such as COD and BC2). To me it has a very similar feel to Half-Life 2, though obviously without as good a story. I think if they incorporated a few 'puzzling' aspects, it definitely would have benefited. Perhaps the ability to lift and throw cars in strength mode? I'll continue my thoughts once I've finished it but so far I'm pleasantly surprised .

By the way my fan on my card is always on 100% when i run a game. Try this alt tab out to windows after u load a save. And back in to the game. It force the V-sync off so u can go over 60 fps.

Damn i cant belive people think that i have eny thing to earn on lying online on a forum to people i dont even know(Real life). Well big woop its realy not that importent if u belive it.
Lets stop the discussion whether am lying or not.

I must say this fps game is realy good! Did not expect a good game before Q4:tup:
It have minor flaws of course like getting stuck in a container or when they say am clocked when am armored.
But hey its only 1.2 at the moment:) My only concern is that this game is to short, this kinda games usually are.

Ok. I won't argue any more. We'll leave it that you have a magical GTX480 which gets 3 times the frame rates as a GTX580. Lucky you.

120+ on max detail? You're dreaming son.

Have you kids stopped arguing about computers now so we can go back to talking about how awesome Crysis is?

I finished my supersoldier and was right about it being to easy, at least with my experience of FPS games. Just to clarify, it would probably be a good challenge first time through if you hadn't played the game at all but as I was replaying on a higher setting I had my upgrades and it was a bit of a doddle to avoid most fights completely. I enjoyed sneaking around though and after 2 playthroughs I think I'll go back again reasonably soon on a trophy run.

WARNING SPOILERS IN THIS POST!!!!!

Okay done my first play-trough. I was hoping for a HARDCORE End-boss but no.
But all in all it was an amazing fps game. I doubt any thing will compare to this fps game at-least before Doom 4.

My personally rating for this game 9 out of 10

By the way.. Any one knows or heard any thing abut DLC to this game?
Never mind. Jess there will be DLC soon:)

Don't forget about Bioshock Infinite ;)

Imho, Kz3 is better than crysis 2. By alot.

Couldn't disagree more, KZ just feels much less intuitive primarily and as someone who played (and enjoyed) Killzone 2 it's not anywhere near as refreshing as Crysis has been for me.

I really was looking into buying KZ3 (played the demo as well), but now I have Crysis 2, I have lost interest (and that says a lot in my case).

If you play Crysis online, be sure to drop me a friend request on the appropriate account 👍 last time I saw you online must have been on the garage showdowns on GT5P.

They recently released a patch on PS3 which I got yesterday, so far the big things to note is energy depletes way slower from sprinting (same from jumping though) and when using armor mode you are much slower then before. I assume they've fixed some bugs as well from both multiplayer and single player, though I didn't have much in either and I haven't played single player since patching.
