^ Just noticed those pedals are inverted.
Seems an easy mod to stiffen up those pedals via a spring underneath.

I still am afraid that with that Madcatz thing the sequential shifter will fall off whenever I look at it, let alone touch it. lol

Anyhow... this is a CSR Elite thread I believe. lol

Haha, just had a proper laugh at that "review".
"Solid wheel, full rotation, pretty strong FFB" oh my God...the most biased review I've ever heard in my life. Why are you mentioning a superior wheel in an inferior wheel's thread?

Notice the sarcasme, Spagetti. ;)

Been a funny old Christmas this one.

How your quest for the holy grail coming along? (CSW) what's the latest?

The latest is that I am still burning rubber using my T500 and stuff. When it comes to communication it's dead silent. I am hoping for a mail from Thomas each day but... nada up till this day. Maybe in 2 weeks time if Thomas is shipping in the first days of January but with no communication I fear for end of January or the early days of February.
I know the beta testers are still playing with that thing, so I am sure they are still taking bugs and issues out of it before letting me have a go. Which is logical as I will surely do my best not to go easy on testing it and giving my sometimes sharp but honest opinions.

Ah well... I know I can wait for the good stuff but I wonder about the community? Are they able to wait still or are they already making trenches by walking back and forth impatiently? lol ;)

I hope so and I am sure I will. Shame it does mean I won't have anything still to play FM4 with though. :P

No, no, no- I am asking fellow csr-e owners do they find it easy to flex the rim.

edit: I don't care if it deforms under extreme pressure. I am trying to establish does anyone that actually has this wheel find it easy to deform it.

I don't know if my rim is flexible, and I'm certainly not going to try that ridiculous "stress test", why would anyone want to do that. I don't particularly like the rim, too much seams and holes, but it will have to do until a new rim is available.

The overall performance of the wheel is amazing, it makes me faster and more consistent. A few minor issues, a "kick" mid corner when holding wheel stationary, rough FFB every time I switch on the wheel (change to S2 then back to S1 solves this) and no Xbox live chat. Looking forward to new FW soon, hope it fixes these issues.

He may not know what a great wheel feels like as he states it's his first wheel, and that the Fanatec system is probably better (meaning he hasn't tried one).

Is there any thread that currently has a current list of all the bugs for the CSR-E on this forum or another?

If I push or pull on the wheel it's easy to deform..

no offense but I meant for senior members to respond (past a week or 2 at least lol). So far everyone that's responded too me via PM, etc say its all good. Thanks everyone for answering my question

Wasn´t me that spoke of Mad catz fisrt, but I think there is a remote possibility that this wheel can be be better than microsoft and nearer of GT2,not CSR e for sure...
For some one, like me, that already has g25, t500 rs PC-PS3 but no xboxconsole yet. is the right choice to start with xbox because the wheel cost 182 € in amazon.. Easy to resell if I don´t like it .
Again, I will wait Darin´s review of this wheel.

Yeppers thats why I recommend a fanatec wheel to you way back when. Now you will have to suffer just like I did. I was in your same boat. edit- nvm, I misread. You do not have an xbox atm thats right I remember now. Well dont buy one now lol

All the bugs I have seen is in software. Like forza 4 during replays the wheel has FFB on. This wheel is just way too strong for that sort of buggery. And I cant use my wheel to rotate car skins in storefronts. Thomas probably thinks im a failure of a tester cause even tho I've spent tons of hrs with this I cant find any bugs really

I wonder what new rims Thomas has planned? I've asked him bout this months ago but no reply. Either he missed the post in the CSR thread or hes keeping it on the down low. I imagine launching the CSW is the top priority tho.

fm 4 is feeling really amazing with the csr elite. I'm having a happy holiday testing it. iRacing still blows it away when it comes to ffb in everyway possible but FM 4 still feels great and strong....

I replaced my Gt3 RS V2 wheel with the CSR elite. In my opinion they did cut corners too far when it came to covering the wheel. :yuck:

The Alacantra covering on the GT3 was awesome and the feel superb. The elite has a cheap plastic feel to it where I place my hands.

The GT3 was only $170 total so I doubt the wheel covering is a cost that somehow could not have been built into the elite wheel.

That being said I love the wheel and its operation. The force feedback was good on the Gt3 but seems so much more real with the Elite.:)

I eagerly await a wheel option.

Interesting post above. Originally when I first saw the csr elite rim I thought the gt3/gt2 rim looked better. But it has grown on me now. But that's interesting post.

You can buy the madcatz while waiting. is a finished product ready to use with Fm4. And when the Fanatec is usable then you can do a review of both for the rest of us.

There's a couple reviews of the Madcatz wheel up on Forzaplanet.net. Isn't the greatest wheel.

Please stop talking about that lame/terrible/ugly/overpriced MadCatz crap in this thread. We are discussing a new GOOD wheel in this thread.

Yes, you are right .With the forzaplanet review I have enough to realize what kind of wheel is. Sorry all. Hope that Fanatec goes steps forward.

I think I'll stick to my speed wheel for now. I'd hate to throw away 250 euros for a Madcatz wheel while I could've spend it on the Fanatec. ;)

Good thing comes to those who will wait, so I'll just save up a bit more... somehow.

@Sandboxgod: Rub it in mate... rub it in  hahaha :sly:

No problem. I didn't the senior forum members only sign when you asked. If you could properly label your questions in the future it will make it easier for me. :sly:

Can't believe this terrible "review" thread has reached 200 posts. All because of that stupid video of this dude raging on his wheel, pretending like he wasn't putting in effort, when you can clearly see the muscles in his forearms flexing.

just because we can see his muscles flexing doesnt mean he is putting force into it, if you are ripped/defined enough you can get your muscles to flex like that just by moving your wrists about.

with nearly all reviews saying the rim feels cheap and we actually know its built cheap too with alot of plastic, some even say the rim creaks when held tight, im not suprised this stuff is happening.

and in regards to pulling and pushing the wheel while driving, i actually didnt realise how much i pull on the wheel, i remember my g25 always working its way off my desk when it was clamped to it, this was due to my pulling, tho i blamed it on the ffb and clamps being crap, also a friend fell off his chair whilst racing because he pulled his g25 off the desk and when all that force was released he ended up flying off his chair lol.

You should be able to pull and push on the wheel just fine while driving. When I say I can make the rim flex easily it's because of the way I position my hands.

If you hold the side of the wheel with four fingers and place your thumbs at the top the rim will bend without much force. You can also cause the rim to flex by pulling it toward with the just the top of your grip.

When holding the wheel while driving your hands aren't in that position. The wheel does not noticeably flex if you have your hands at 9 and 3 or 10 and 2. Even with a firm grip (if I make a mistake or try to catch a slide and tense up) there is no flex.
