Custom Soundtracks in GT5 - What are you listening to?

For replays, I want lots of QOTSA. Top gear used a few of their tunes throughout the years, and it fits well with motorsports.
 
Its already been said but, nothing. I might put some DJ AM Travis Barker stuff on just in case I want some music. Maybe some Avenged Sevenfold for those hard, intense races, maybe.
 
Yeah, I'm not one for music during races either. Occasionally I'll whip on some music through iTunes in the 4-24 hour endurance races, though, and in that case it'll be some punk, ska, indie and garage.

It's a 2-hour show that plays nothing but Trance - and really, really good Trance at that. :sly:

You could transfer one or two of your favorite shows to your PS3 hard drive and then it would be like you were listening to the radio in your car! 👍

I have even heard of people going the extra mile in creating their own custom soundtracks, by making their own commercials for play in between songs!

Dedication - it separates the idle from the determined.

Trance + racing game = doesn't go. It's just my opinion, but I really think that trance doesn't with a racing game. Unless you're using really slow cars and you can afford to listen to it for a long time.

Maybe our definitions of Trance music are radically different. :sly:

The Trance music I like is fast-paced, has addictive driving beats and are very melodic and rhythmic. Also, the songs are anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes in duration - which makes them perfectly fitting for use during a race. 👍
 
Nothing, the first thing I always do in a GT game is to turn the race music off.

I just need a good engine sound...........
 
If the engine and environmental sounds are spot-on, then I will race occasionally without any music.

But, sometimes listening to the right music can get you psyched-up to win the race - so I am definitely all for the custom soundtrack feature!
 
I already had Ocean Colour Scene ( Marchin On ) saved in the HDD so will play their songs.Oasis with Noel still playing his guitar & singing.
 
For some reason - in my opinion - Trance, Techno and Rock/Heavy Metal are the best genres of music to race to. They just exude speed and compliment a race perfectly. :D
 
So GT5 will support in game custom music soundtrack playback like Wipeout HD and Motorstorm Pacific Rift ?

Sweet. Makes to game all better:)
 
I have a huge range in music taste, from 2pac (RIP) to Weird Al Yankovic.

suvivor eye of a tige

and other stuff like that you know that kind of music
 
I usually play with music off so I can hear the engine sounds nice and loud, but if I use the custom soundtrack feature at all I'll probably be racing to Daft Punk, The Prodigy, etc

I liked Snoop Dogg in GT3. I totally didn't expect him to be in the game. He'll be a nice return.

People listen to music instead of the engines? weird, it totally puts me off if the music is turned on (i couldn't stand the replays of the gamescon demo because the music was always on, couldn't hear the engine).

After i started playing with manual transmission, back in 2000 with GT2, i never listened to the race music again. Only in menus.
