All this talk about GT 3... Shouldn't you be focused on BTCC and improving car setup and feel?? ;)

Yep :D

Agree tho, getting to far ahead of ourselves with GT3, back on BTCC, anybody about tonight for some running?

For GT3 i would use the Aston ;)
By the way what's the max HP for GT3?

I think the idea will be that everybody has the same power and same weight which will be 550bhp and in the region of 1300kg :) Thats what I understood from HMS the other night anyway :)

The only problem with the 550hp is most cars have to be hp limited :( . Me Nate and Chris have been running 1350kg with 600hp and it meant cars can be tuned a small amount and they can all match that weight ;)

the point of a gt3 is the cars are not factory parts alex.. i like the idea of the power limiter being used like i do

Well im liking how the Aston feels. Also sounds amazing.

Is there an idea what cars are allowed?

Good racing tonight lads,

One of the few races I'm actually really looking forward too :)

My slight set adjustment has worked out pretty good too so smiles alround :D

Priesty you got a good chance to finish in the top 5, But we only done 4 laps. Will the bmw fight it's way back as it looks after it's tyre's. I only started finding grip on the 3rd lap and soon after that i pulled out a 1.06.7xx.

As for the GT3
Aston lacks down force.
While Ferrari 458 and Mercedes SLS both get high down force also both are fairly matched. Another thing if we going to max 600hp then it should be called GT1 ;)

Cheers mate, hope so!, makes me feel sad when I see the table as I dont personally think i'm that bad! Dam you Focus! lol

Abit quite in here today!

No problem mate. You should get a win!

I wonder if the last few laps bmw's catch up and there is a few battles. I hope so , makes everything way better!

Anyone up for a little meet of GT3 cars tonight? I'd say with 550hp the mclaren just goes quicker than the rest!

Oh no wait.. It's me driving ;) It's not the car

Yeah sure. I looked at other GT and they look more fair. I know for a fact Aston will struggle so it should get more HP

I'll be using my beast SLS ;)

Yeah I'm down for some GR3 racing, the MP12 isn't as fast as my Scud! :P

Also the Ford GT is the fastest by me testing ;)

Knight Spirit
Set up your cars for 600bhp 1350kg lads, that's the fairest regs we've found so far ;)

Really? After staff 3 weight reduction the MP12 doest even reach that weight!

I know it's copying but would it not be best to use the other GT3 series rules?

Heavier cars can have more power? , if all cars are the same weight and power we might aswell all pick the same car?

So your saying that the cars should be un-matched? I feel you miss the point of regulations.

How is it unmatched? I'm pretty sure were all not running the same weight and power combinations in the BTCC series, if you check the FIA GT3 website and check the cars out you'll see that there is a varied range of power and weight for the different cars in that series.

Anyway it's not my series but that was just my 2 pence!

I'll be in either way ;)

I'm up for some testing later, I've been doing some testing based on the official power to weight ratios on the gt3 website and it makes the cars evenly matched. Getting averages of 1.02's on gve

Something I've seen in other series is limited Max Speed, stopping the heavier cars using their extra power to gain extra speed on the straights. Personally, I think this coupled with the official GT3 power to weight figures would be the fairest system, as long as everyone sticks to it.

The regs of:
1300kg
602BHP
work beautifully.
Just set a pretty quick 6:49.676 at Nurb, see what you guys can hit.
Keep in mind that that was a fully concentrating run, in the lap before i was 30secs+ behind my 6:52.

Ermm. I'm confused what we are actually going with. 500hp or 600?

I prefer if it was 500hp because then there is more choice of cars.
