Can anybody tell me why I deserve a one second penalty for this???

The penalty system is a joke!

Because the penalty system is a mess and probably thinks you did a brake check or something... I am getting so frustrated because of someone bumping you and you getting a penalty or SR down. It also messed up my SR atm. Imo the new penaltyzone is a very good implementation but they really need to take another look at the penalty system itself...

It really is dumb and frustrating. It seems like it doesn't matter how late you brake. If someone hits you from behind in the braking zone, than you get the sr down if you're lucky and a penalty if you're me... A penalty for brake checking in the penalty zone is just stupid.

Leaning towards the Lambo or GTR in the gr 4 next week. What about everyone else?

Hit 55.7 with the GTR but that is probably really slow

I think the Slophy might be a problem at Autopolis. Lots of corners that require downforce/stability. The front straight won't be so much a problem. Plus, even though awd cars will have the punch out of corners, I think the handling will suffer with the changes in direction. We'll see. It's an awesome circuit.

What I've got so far. Biggest let down was the Genesis. Just feels like it has no power. Nice brakes though.
Viper was another. Wait....wait....wait...okay, NOW I can turn the steering the other way.
650S and NSX are night and day. The 650S is super planted(I can't believe it beat up on the Scirocket!). Mash the throttle early or feed it in whenever at wherever point in a corner. The NSX just skids its rear. Ridiculous. Used to love that car.
Bottom of the sheet in 14th, is the F-Type- 1:56.037. Don't know what was up with that one.

I'll try the bull, 4C and 86 next.

You forgot to put BoP on.

I’ve done a low 54 in the 4C earlier today. Marginally slower in Lambo.
Did about 20 laps in each. I’ve left time on the table in both cars.

I’ve done a mid 54 in the Mazda, which feels to me a safer bet for a race car. Gearing in last sector felt good to me.

Tried the R8 for RBR qualifying, last night. Best lap was 1:29.696. A mere .003 off my time in the 911. Optimal was 29.113.

I'll have to have a final run at it, tonight.

Nice Sunday morning drive

I was the only A/S in the room. There was a B/B on pole and a few SR.A but they all took themselves out and I was in first by the end of lap 1. By the end of lap 6 I lapped the first car which I lapped again in lap 14. I finished 46 ahead of everyone else with a relaxed 19:12 race pace, only 4 others made it to the finish in time. My best lap time didn't get under 1:13.046, ghosts make more turbulence than helpful slipstream and I felt no need to push hard either.

There were only two neutral ratings in the room (The B/B driver was the only one that quit) rest blue and just 2 red dots. The secret to clean racing is having such a mismatched room that there's no interaction beyond lap 1

One race was enough for the daily workout thread, sun is out, means I am out  Goodluck!

@Sven Jurgens  You lapped me three times by the time you got the checkers.
I ran one lap and joined a race. I think my car has gremlins. Love the track, not so much the F1500.
Went back to RBR after the demo derby early this week. Pretty clean compared to Tuesday.

Practice for next week autopolis. Tryed that 4C. Seems to be quite a weapon....
Still few mistakes, so 5 tenths faster might be possible (maybe..).
-BoP on
-RH tyres
-time of day 16:00
-BB 1
-1:52.819

I really like how this car handles, it even has lift oversteer now. So it can be balanced with throttle. :)

Nice lap I also did some laps with the 4C coming at 1:52.903. Still I think we can shave of some more time. Aliens will probably go beyond low .50 for sure.

I did enough practice laps at Autopolis, this morning to realize that I don't need to bother with qualifying. I'll just start at the back without a Q time, rather than start near the back anyways, with an embarrassing Q time. :dopey: It's either that, or the damn Suzuka again. Definitely won't touch that Fuji race.

Well, if PD puts race time early morning or night, track will be more slippery. That might affect which car is fastest and what is actually good time.
So dont give up yet...

I'll try not to accidentally qualify next week. I've been starting mid pack all week on race C and it's pretty much a coin toss whether I emerge out of lap one nearly last or near the top, definitely never where I started

Most races go like this:
- Start on the outside, you're screwed.
- Start on the inside, hug the inside, hope you don't get a stalled car in front of you or a penalty from a bouncer.
Make sure to stay close behind the car in front of you for T2 to transfer punts from behind on to the car in front :mischievous:
Try to cross to the left before T3 to hug the inside there or you will take a nice sightseeing tour out on the field.
Keep hugging the inside through T4 hopefully still close behind another car to absorb any more punts...
Survive T4 and you're good to go.

If penalty, descend back to the back at the penalty zone and repeat for lap 2.
Actually by the penalty zone the field is already so spread out you'll lose at most 1 or 2 positions, getting punted off is far far worse. Dirty damaged tires and now truly at the back of the field.

Autopolis GR.4 is going to be so boring after Brand's with the F1500. No elevation, bunch of samey corners, slow cars, slow corners. Still better than Fuji.

I almost mentioned you in the post, to say that I expect to see a lot of you, since I know you're also not a Fuji fan.

U gonna race, or go for triple digit clean race streak?

It's been more than a day since I last dropped a position on the Race C leaderboard, so I'm still 8th. I logged on for a quick session and actually set some sector records, but I didn't go quite fast enough to improve my lap. One person climbed from 7th to 2nd and 5th swapped with 6th. 10 hours to go... No early morning surprises please  :nervous:

Gr4 corvette seems to be quite good also. On my list the top 4 is TT, RCZ, 458 and corvette. All under 1.54 mark. Havent tested the 4C.
Corvette did surprise me. Doesn't feel fast, but it is smooth/composed. If the Atenza drives as expected, that's going to be a beast that I can square off the corners.

Anyone racing tonight?

I’ll be on. Driver rating is 160 points shy of B. Had another win and a few top 5 finishes so hopefully they will line me up with you guys.

I’ve been running the Ford GT, it’s been a lot of fun to figure out. So far I’ve been low 1:30.xxx’s and can hopefully shave a few more tenths off.

I'll be racing. A hundred races on Autopolis in GR.4  Perhaps I'll get into it, doubt it though. Last time Autopolis was on I did 4 races there in a week

Anyone racing tonight?

Signing up for the 7pm F1500 derby.

Still only 14 on a Sunday evening, this week is a dud. One A+, 2 A last week had 5 A+ rest A in a full room on Sunday.
