My dang cat just decided to stand in front of the tv during lap 1! C'mon, Son!
I have a decal for that.

Uhh, yesterday, I was doing a Race C with @CapraKiwi where I started 5th using my Q time while waiting for the race. I gained a few positions until Lap 2 on the chicane where a bloody power surge happened and I lost 5 SR and several thousand DR. Car used at the time is the NSX.

The race from his perspective:

Darn I got re-set on my racing comeback at race A. All I did was try to avoid cars but it did not work. Full throttle on TC3 in the R32, turn the TC off during 2nd gear, I did manage to stay in the lead. But an Aussie with GTHO in his name was after me (GTHO was the name given to the best Ford Falcon V8 homologation special cars of early 1970's - there were Ford Falcon Its but then there were the HO versions of which the 3rd version - the "Phase 3" is now quite collectable and back then it was still hard to get - and those cars were then marginally improved for racing at the Annual Bathurst 1000km race. Win on Sunday, sell heaps of Fords - or GM Holdens if they won - on Monday) and instead of breaking he just aimed for me. The Aussie Government stopped the Phase IV being built too. I guess because I stayed on the track, I got a penalty and went form 31000 something (it is my B account though) to 16000. His qualifying time was 58.6, mine 58.06, so he knew he had to hit me early. It's a sound tactic I guess.

I had an ex Bathurst Datsun (Nissan now) 120-Y ... probably the ugliest car ever made by Nissan, sort of like a jelly bean that had been squeezed a bit by a child. It was seem welded for the race though, and the body felt like a Mercedes of the era, nice and stiff. But the rest of the plastic fantastic plus bare painted metal interior felt like cheap black crap. The Datsun 1200 was an elegant box, the 120Y totally horrible. But both of those cars despite RWD weighed less (individually) than an MX-5.

I noticed that the driver who rammed you in T1 from the track got no penalty. This is another typical failure of the penalty system. He destroyed your race and caused chaos in the field. At least one driver got a 5 second penalty in this chaos. Later the same driver divebombed you and there is no penalty again. In both cases it is quite clear who the cause is but the system does nothing. I'm sorry, I'm straightening up because it happens to me often. GT Sport could be so good but the whole trouble with unfair or over motivated drivers spoiled my fun and made me bitter. Much of this could be avoided if the rules were finally enforced and penalties punished properly. But somehow the developers do not seem to care about that.

I guess I'm not so fussed as this isn't a common occurrence for me. Additionally I've been on the opposite end more than i would like to admit. Racing at 10/10ths and pulling out of a slip stream in a heavy braking zone and completely messing up. Where the only options are ram the person in front and cause a chain reaction or avoid as many cars as possible. I would choose the latter ever time. Both mine and offenders races are ruined so i don't see the need for additional consequences.
In regards to the hairpin, that's probably a worse incident in my book but it didn't really affect me too much. Just hampered my progress. I tend to drive with a wide entry and that leaves an invitation for some.

This is why I'm totally bypassing both A and B events this week and racing in lobby races or PC2 on my Xbox. The racing has been complete rubbish with people driving like morons. I don't mind wheel to wheel racing but this is like Cole Trickle and Rusty from Days of Thunder racing. Being side swiped and receiving an SR down is ridiculous.

It's these races where it pays to spend a lot of time qualifying. Get away from the uncertainty as soon as possible.

Welcome to my world. :banghead: :ouch: :banghead:

It's a good source of entertainment. A good chance to practice overtakes and patience.

I haven’t gone in country this week, first in a long time, but when I visited towards @sturk0167 s way as a younger man, it was all about 2 dollar pitchers of PALE ALE at the BEAR, is that place still there?
Had the pool table upstairs?

Race A-I just kinda suck in pretty much any n car over n100.
Race B - might run it, starting to learn track...
Race C lol riiii

Stay thirsty, my friends.

I have seen now how people take advantage of clean drivers
HAppens to me many times. I see the car ahead out of control or missing an apex or even trying to be clean to a player they are fighting. So for me to not add to the inevitable misery, I give the car ahead room. Players behind see this as they won't win, if they become impatient, err, excuse me, if they are "held up".

I'm all for racing. Sure players make mistakes and there are times to capitalise on those mistakes. Many times I've been around drivers that have no respect for clean racers and divebomb, don't get off the accelerator, don't leave room.

I actually had a guy last week msg me on psn before the daily race started( not on my friend list) to say the guy ahead of me was going to hold me up and that we need to push him aside; that "we " having been needing to do that to him past few races.

Sure enough, the guy in first got slightly out of shape, the guy in front of me (to be pushed aside) decides to give him time to correct instead of barging past, I ease up to let the situation clean up a bit. The guy who msged me, doesnt slow down, goes almost completely off track to make the pass, pushes me and 2nd place off track in the course of 2 quick corners. Luckily he got a heavy time penalty as a reward. What a tool.

Will do, I saved the replay, however, I do not know how to share it here

It’s pretty simple, all you need it so create a Gmail address if you don’t already have one. This is what you use it to sign into YouTube, this is now your YouTube page. Then you link that to your PS4 in the settings menu, it’s not hard at all. Then you just click share and trim your video, after one or two you’ll be a pro at it.

Linking to YouTube.(not my video)

How to share a video.(not my video)

Hope this helps man. :)

I saved this replay because I was accused of an illegal overtake at the end of lap 11 (it was illegal btw, I didn't even think about track limits on the straight, my bad!) but thought I would upload it because it was a pretty fun race. The Loctite Honda caused a few incidents but I think that was more incompetence than anything malicious.

Uncletwenty3 must be my nemesis, he has beaten me clean a lot

Uncletentwenty3 is one of my favorite guys to race. Huge respect for this guy. We've had some huge door to door battles in daily As and never touch. And he knows how to pull off some amazing passes in this weeks daily A. Turn 1, inside, outside, he doesnt care. He pulls it off lol.

Yeah he is so clean I can not bump him...although it would be easy to
