Oversteer in the FF Megane?
Can I add those memes to my post?:D:sly:

Main "problem" with the FF cars are the BOP is stock. Not even a weight increase for the Megane. So, 350hp/1100kg is too much for a RWD 1400kg/no matter how much hp it has, to match.

I also kept TCS1 active for the entire race.

I had a race following CLowndes888, in another Megane. A TT was in 3rd and we just left it in the dust on lap 1. I just followed him around gapping the field.

The first race in the Megane, TCS off and I was getting beat up. ;)3rd gear is best in the FF cars. Plus, off throttle tuck in. Can't be beat. Mustang might be the closest to that, as is the WRX. WRX is really growing on me. Especially since it's a good car in TCR Australia.

I’ll have try it again!!

So far, my Lambo has gotten the best results though. I just couldn’t stay away from her :)

I use the lancer evo gr4, its overall more balanced than the wrx and i still cant handle cars with six gears, i crash lol. I maybe fast but i have issues with gears but i still race and repeat :)

Also anyone noticed people are using multiple accounts to gain star player rank? I seen a few signed to the same manufacturer LOL i told them to look up at night while playing gt sport and they will see loads of stars and then they will be a star player lol

Unfair penalties aside, 5 cars cleared at Bathurst. I can't get much pace in traffic from the back, and the slightest brush of a wall negates the clean race bonus, so all driven on eggshells. Best lap times:

2:16.073 Ferrari 458
2:17.151 Citroen GT
2:17.156 BMW M4
2:17.195 Alfa 4C
2:17.320 McLaren 650S

Ferrari wins for now. Alfa feels so slow, can't keep up with anything on the straight. McLaren could do better, I'll try a second race in that after dinner. The M4 was stuck in traffic both races, should also be able to do a bit better. Citroen GT felt like a dud.

You can tell most people are veterans nowadays. A year ago a race on Bathurst had at least half the field going off in the first lap. There are still some that mess up the dipper, but most people have figured out the braking point for the chase. Bad news for my DR, 4.2K down so far since 7th is the best could manage in 3 laps.

Well so far I have a rage quit, P2, P1 and a P8 because someone tried to pass me going into the chase and I braked too late and went off. Then of course I had no traction at the next corner either because of it and went off again.

I tried and tried to get that NSX to work around Alsace, it feels like it’s got so much potential to go fast around there, but the best it could do was a 1:43.6. So I switched over to the GTR and realized I’d been wasting my time, I did a 1:42.8 on the second lap with it. Oh well, that’s how you learn sometimes. :D

Nice lap! That looked really fast. I haven't tried it. How far off is the Lexus? It never seems to be very popular, but think it drives nice. Any idea why?

P3 on my last race. Going to go play on Fuji for a bit because right now I keep getting put into the same room as the fastest guy in the region and I have zero chance of beating him. Placing 2nd and 3rd all night is no fun.

Also, who was it in here that was putting Trump stickers all over their cars? Was that you in the Megan? :p

Slowly eating away at Alsace time. 1:47 with the toms..

Any of y'all gone done a lap with out changing yer rubbers??

9 laps is as far as my patience would allow

No stop is viable but last lap is pretty hairy. I'm pretty easy on tyres as well so I dont think everyone could manage it

Thanks, the GTR is much easier to drive than the NSX. I haven’t tried the Lexus, possibly ever, I honestly can’t recall ever trying it before? I’ll give it an go later and get back to you on that one. I think it just gets left out because the GTR is usually the Meta with Gr2.

I’m working on race A right now, at a 2:02.0 in the 86 so far. :)

Group 2 race in race C is surprisingly good fun.

Both the 1 stop and non stop are viable strategy as well which is always a good thing.

Had to learn the track last night in prep for today. Tough nut to crack and a variety of lines can be taken through several corners which makes the racing interesting.

So far picked up a 4th and 6th from non stops and a 4th and 5th from 1 stopping.

Lexus can match the potential laptime of the GTR but feels to me like it lacks the Nissan's acceleration so poor corner exits are more harshly punished in the lexus compared to the gtr.

You can essentially get away with being a bit less accurate in the GTR

Just ran a 2:00.991 on my 7th lap. Set a 2:01.541 on my second lap and it took the rest of the time to stop making mistakes.

This car likes to be tossed around. Good fun.

Nice!! I just had 1.2 on my lap and totally blew it in the last sector. Still working on braking points

You’re right for sure, this is a fun combo. :)

They have about the same horsepower and weight, so it must be a matter of gearing, with the ratio in the Lexus being a little higher, because I remember using it at Fuji, and beating the GTRs on the straightaway.

Do not toss it around
A little slide job exiting turn 1 was the quickest way about it for me so far.

First race, started P1 finished P2. Was a good fight with the top 3 though. I made a small mistake and P2 tried to pass me on the outside and turned into me, letting P3 catch up. Thankfully no penalties.

Using manual gears in a Super GT car is extremely difficult, not to mention unnecessary as fuel saving isn't required in this week's race. Here's another problem - I barely know Alsace in reverse so to me, it's like learning a new track. I found it hard to stay on the track and be consistent, but my best result was 2nd; only because the opposition was slow. I was in the lead for a while but I didn't pit for tyres so I had nothing to defend with. I then went to race B at Bathurst. First in the Vantage, which simply wasn't quick enough, and then in the Megane. It took a few attempts for me to get it right, but I eventually managed to put another win on the board. What's better is that I got back to an A S ranking.

I’ve got A down to a 1.4 now but it still had a big fudge in the last sector, I know I can crack into the 00’s. :)

Chef @Pigems cookin' up that delicious time at the C race! I'll have another go at it this week!

Thanks man, I’m really enjoying Gr2 on that track, it’s like they were made for it. I have no doubt though you’ll have me chasing you again soon. :cheers.

Perhaps I should give Alsace a go. Bathurst is an SR killer, -19 SR in one race with just a couple back field cars tapping me then a wall, then +5 for a clean race. Little too gain, easily gone. 85 SR, so now in the even clumsier room. It's fascinating to see where people think of to brake next. There must be over 50 corners on Mount Panorama :)

I think you’ll like it once you get the hang of it, it’s got a nice flow.

This is the 2:01.4, the whole last sector was crap though, there’s much more time there. :)

And this happened again! Twice now tonight.

Two more races down, both victories. However the last one almost wasn't. Video below, you can decide for yourself if it's a dive bomb, hail mary or whatever. All I know is that there was no way it was going to stick and I got SR down for it...

Doesn’t look ill intentioned to me. Just normal rub in the battle for 1st.
