I didn't think fuel-saving would be fast enough for that race. Good job. 👍 Not sure how to approach that race, now.
I think I still wanna go all out, and pit, but the difference may be that the fuel-savers will get beat up up in the race.

@Pigems thank you for practicing with me.

I didn’t think the Mazda was going to make it at first, that was surprising for sure. I also thought it would be a lot slower than the R92 with both being short shifted, I was wrong again.

It’s always a pleasure to share a track with you man, we had a couple of great races tonight, that was a lot of fun!! Thanks for starting up the lobby.

If the Nissan can do that, the 787B will have no problem. I was slowly walking away from it in that race. Side by side acceleration saw me pulling it. I should be competitive versus the LM55.

Improved my qualification time at Suzuka by a whole 0.010 and jumped into my first race of the night with pole position and managed to stay out front to claim victory by 9 tenths. Which was about how far back P2 was the whole race. Forgot to snap a photo.

Edit: 2 for 2.

Well it wasn't a Brazilian this time, an Argentinian, the only one in the room :banghead: He finished last when he was done crashing and ramming and serving penalties.

I did clear the Ford GT finally, prone to get hit in that one, slightly early braking, slower through corners, thus get tapped from behind. Sarthe is going to be a mess next week with all the different braking points and cornering speeds of GR.1. I'll probably be SR.E on Monday in the R92CP.

Z4 cleared as well now. The Argentinian crashed into someone else this race  Z4 is slow on the straights, but otherwise very nice.

Add the M3 '11, faster than the Z4, but needs more fuel management.

M6 Walkenhorst, only 48% left for lap 2 after going to FM5 on the straight, then after even more short shifting had to go to FM6 to make it. Slower than M3 and Z4 due to lack of fuel.

I was P2. Couldn’t find pace tonight at ALL. I was all over the place on Suzuka and the Ring. I didn’t probably 10 races tonight and managed only 1 win.

Good race!

I've only done two races this week. Both at Suzuka. Started 8th, and 4th. Finished both in 16th. DR is back below 21k, and I'm back to SR:A.

Mehh. A combination of just not being consistent enough, and some bumping from behind means this week can get stuffed.

I'm not too bad at Interlagos, though. So hopefully we can get a few decent results in the NSX next week.

I couldn't sleep, so finished my quest for the week. All 35 GR.3 cars with clean race bonus ending with a clean streak of 5.

I can squeeze more out of the Lexus, I lifted to let an AMG through in the '16, and still had fuel left over. The AMG is quick as well. Most cars I've only driven once so plenty improvement to be had by doing a couple more laps in them.

The last 2 races weren't without controversy as the dirty driver showed back up, starting with his banter directed at me straight away. I did not respond so he shut up. Luckily he had improved his qualifying time so he started in front of me and took out the cars in front of him. Exact same thing he did to me, but this time I had a good look at his T1 strategy:
iPK6S1w.gif

Interestingly, in my last race he started 2nd behind NZ*, who he apparently is friends with and he was clean that race. Well he got shortcut penalties then messed up and didn't block when I passed. He finished the race and left straight away. He can drive clean!

@Lion-Face Good luck, I've been listening/watching to your stream while typing this :) I need to try the Ferrari again as well, got punted in that one so didn't really get to set any good lap time in it. Doubt I'll get anywhere near 8:19 though!

Impressive work, as for the dirty little bastard, i suggest other NA drivers report him as well, that is the only way to get the attention of support.

The N24 is giving me that Sven vibe, except i do not win, and the races are not clean :)

Had a great night! I went off @Sven Jurgens list of cars and started from the bottom with the Mclaren 650s, went to Ferrari then Lamborghini and finally Dodge. Had some very close racing aside from the Ferrari race. Picked my favourite race and made that my video for the night, hope you enjoy :)

Finally got some time this morning to do a proper Q session for Race C, first lap was an 8:29.5 in the AMG, very stable car but not fast enough. Gonna go buy an M6 to try next.

Edit: Yup, M6 is much better, down to a 24.1 on the 2nd lap. :)

Yeah it's one of the fastest cars to qualify in, then it's useless in race as it's also one of the worst on fuel consumption. This week couldn't scream louder to have to race in the car you qualified in. Or rather have a time per car.

Now my 'challenge' is finished I can try to improve my time again. Not anytime soon though, awesome weather this weekend. Tonight perhaps.

For your lobby racing tonight, qualify in the car you're going to drive?
Or make it 3 laps, 2 fuel save, 1 power lap with tire choice ;)

I'm going to suck at the other races, I don't even know what they are

Hey, @Sven Jurgens, or anyone else that might know, do you know if the two chicanes on the Mulsanne straight are different dimensions? I am finding that I need to approach them a bit differently. Is it just me, or are they not quite the same shape?

Last one for the night. Smooth sailing in this one. May as well be an RC F spec race.

I was the only one in a Genesis tonight. Feels good.

The Genesis has been my bread and butter this week. Started off B/B around 20k DR. Managed to dig myself out of that hole to get up to B/S @ 27.9k DR. Then it started happening. 1 green bar shy of full signal strength, and everyone else's cars are all over the place :scared:. I've seen this sheet music before, it's just a matter of time . Quick glance at my signal strength 1 red bar. I hit the hazards, and let the entire field pass as I didn't want to ruin anyone else's races cause I was probably the one car all over the place in their screens. I then get 1 position from last and wouldn't you know it, I get green bars again and decide to push again. 3/4's of a lap in lap 1 and BOOM! disconnected :banghead:.

Couldn't get the game to load with a strong signal after that. While waiting for the next race I kept getting the message that the Playstation server could not be reached or something along those lines. Called it a night.

Thanks for the info. We don’t use tire wear or fuel consumption in the lobby races, it’s gonna be a two lap sprint. So the M6 will be good I hope, it does spin a little easily in 2nd though if you’re not careful. :)

I take them both slightly differently, there’s not much difference though that I can tell. :)

I just turned my ps4 on and found some hate mail from him as well. I reported it to PSN (rude vulgar category) with the explanation that I've already reported him in GTS a dozen times. No clue if it will do anything, but I don't want that in my psn messages either which my kids see as well. He's blocked now.

Missed my race entry, bbq time!

He was in one of this morning's races. I started 2nd. There were some disconnects which promoted him to 4th. He torpedoed me in turn 1, obviously still fuming over his missed torpedo from the last meeting. I worked my way through the pack and still finished 4th with, really, no ill effects. He ended up getting himself demoted to SR A because, besides the 5 seconds for taking me out, he had another 4 from something else, and this is all before getting to the first penalty zone on lap 1!!!!

I blocked him as well. I'm curious if that factors into the matchmaking.

The 650 seems so crappy at the moment. It doesn't seem to do anything well. I need to try the Genesis!

I just thought of something. My speed when approaching the first chicane is about 10 mph higher than the second, so I do brake slightly later for the second one. That may be enough to make it feel different.

I just thought of something else. I should probably practice without the braking cones, because they'll surely be gone by lap 2.

Looks like my run this week the Ring. Thought I was gonna get back to DR/A until the disconnect last night. Nice driving right there Player!

You’ve got enough time on the straights of this track to reset you’re cones easily before reaching the next corner, so no worries there. You just hit pause, then turn them off, then turn them back on again quickly and they reset for you, but not for anyone else. ;)

On another note, the girls are ready for tonight. :)

Yes, one goes right left right, the other left right left, don't mix them up :sly:

That's awesome. Thanks, Sven! Glad I'm not crazy. That second chicane definitely has a later apex. Exceeding the track limits and getting a penalty when exiting the second one seems way more common than at the first. Looks like there's a reason for it. 👍

Works for many other cars. Even more annoying are drivers with a pending penalty desperately trying to block you early in the race.

interesting analysis but verging on being a stalker. Lol

Just had an unexpectedly awesome race B, other than one grey NSX that got a little blocky in me and the Orange Mustang, it was a really fun race the entire time! That doesn’t happen often in sport mode anymore.

This was the highlight for me, a sweet outside pass exiting spoon, man that was fun :)

Full Race Replay. :)

Just ran a couple races. First one didn't go so well, started P1 (Edit: P2 actually) and binned it exiting the 2nd turn on the 2nd lap. Fell back to 10th. Picked my way back up to 7th and then was pushed off at Spoon before spinng in turn 1 and falling back to 11th. Grabbed one spot before the finish and came home 10th.

Second race was a bit better but started P4 behind a trio of Lexi. Got by one of them who made a mistake and found the kitty litter at Degner, then on the 2nd lap the leader hit the barrier going under the bridge stopping him in his tracks. Inherited 2nd where I would stay. Leader seemed to be struggling some when he was in 2nd but when he got the lead after that incident he turned the wick up and ran a 2:08.1xx on the final lap. I can't compete with that. Settled for 2nd place. *shrugs*

Who's stalking who. He's blocked after he send me rude messages on psn. Reported on PSN and I got the reply back that "appropriate measures" have been taken. Then he gets matched with me again the next day starting right in front of me spewing his crap pre-race.... So much for the report and block feature
The only way to avoid him is to check what his current SR is on KP and make sure I'm in a different bracket đź’ˇ
