You can't find the limits if you don't go beyond them
Very true. I wish sport mode had a practice option next to qualifying with the same settings as in race. Custom races don't have the option for the ridiculous tire wear and fuel settings to practice, without making yourself 'look bad'. I do practice a bit now and then in qualifying before the race starts and always get annoyed that the car behaves differently. No fuel weight, no tire wear, go to qualify mode and I brake slightly too soon, turn in slightly too soon, then back to race mode and have to adjust again not to go wide.
I drive like it's my own car, better to be a bit too safe than sorry
Im going to stream later tonight, NZ time. I would like a selection of cars to try out that may be difficult to win with.
The Ferrari does it easy on fuel so don't know if I want to keep trying that. But the corvette seems to have good single lap pace but is slower in the race with fuel on board. Or the Viper maybe? Any suggestions? Or I could just keep pushing the Ferrari to try and go for a faster overall race time.
This is my list so far of in race best laps while fuel saving with my better safe than sorry driving style.
Lexus should be much better as I used it early in the week and saved way too much fuel. Genesis was a nice surprise.
Huracan and Audi should be much faster as well, but suck at avoiding people, easy to upset those cars, but should be good from pole.
