The 962C is a nice surprise! Fun to drive and improves a bit on the R92CP on everything except turn rate at the apex in the chicanes. It more than makes up for that with slightly better brakes and fuel management. First attempt my best lap is already 2 sec faster than what I could do in the R92CP so far, 3:29.2. It's also more stable at corner exit. I might have to make a livery for it :)

Next up, the Jag. That probably won't be as fast as if I remember correctly all the other GR.C cars had worse fuel mileage than the R92CP. I'm glad the 962C finally has a bit better mileage. R92CP I have to short shift before half the bar shows to make it and I'm usually playing catch up on fuel after lap 1, 962C can shift at 75% and easily make it, I had 4.4 laps estimated after lap 1.

Morning races are nice again, finished 4th in the 962C beating a 908 and TS050 that were close all race.
Good luck with that Jag. It really has no redeeming qualities.
Last night, I tried the TS050 for the first time. For me, it's undriveable. Acceleration is good, of course. Brakes work well. Handling is good when you're on the gas, but the power-off oversteer is troublesome. Had to quit after only one lap. I must have looked like an idiot out there. :dopey:
So, I guess the BoP that negates the great fuel economy is the car's insatiable desire to spin. Won't use that one again. 👎
It's taking longer than I expected to figure how to do this race.

Talk about your all time backfires!

Edit: I knew they were there, but no, I didn’t really play an active part in avoiding them other then maybe a slightly late turn in. It was pretty much pure luck that they didn’t take me with them. It did kinda look like the guy to my right attempted to turn at the last minute to avoid hitting me though, that was nice of him. :)

@NosOsH ’s buddy KBonics was in my next race starting 2nd, with a 20.4Q A+ Driver on pole, both of them also driving TS050’s. Only made it up to 5th in this race and I must be back into the SR 90’s or close to it now, rooms are getting faster and it’s not even 9pm yet. Gonna be less places to gain in these rooms.

I made it up to 5th by the end though and even got a CRB this time, only one small .5s corner cut penalty this time, only the last lap lol. Oh well, it was a fun race and I almost caught KBonics who finished 10 seconds ahead in 3rd place. :)

Edit: It’s FINALLY uploaded lol.

I present to you, 13th to Last, to 1st. :)

The first 1/4 lap is pretty ugly, actually it’s really ugly lol. I’m honestly not quite sure what I was thinking when I got up along side that guy heading into the first chicane, luckily I didn’t take him out.

Poetry in motion... love it!

Had a doozy at Interlagos last night. I sneak past a Mustang coming out of the first of the slow right handers, absolute clean pass, no issues. Then coming onto the main straight and he is half a second behind me, I brake late into T1 but he throws it up the inside, pushes me just off track to pass me.

I am not amused.

On the last lap he makes a small mistake entering the same slow right hander, so i throw it up the inside figuring he's cool with that style of passing. We touch but he stays on track, it was not a clean a pas sin my books but when in rome .....

He doesn't appreciate this and rams me off on the last turn. i only lose one place and he got reset to SR E. Absolutely lost his mind in the lobby after the race, i'm like dude, you pushed me off the track at T1 and you're upset i touched you when I passed you? He just went ballistic and never addressed the T1 issue.

I think you may want to add that this opinion only pertains to you personally ;)

I was testing in time trial yesterday and I got the M6 to 1:31.677. I was SOOO upset that I didn't do that in proper qualifying. I got it to a 1:31.8 before a race but I haven't gone back to see if I could lower my Q time.

I also did a 1:31.9 with the Subaru

I tried it with the wheel, was much much better. However, I still stand by the fact that it still feels a lot more slippery than before.

The TS050 was me this morning...:)

This was so much fun! Thanks again Sven...

Thanks for the tow in the Jag, I wasn't sure I was going to make it and arrived on fumes. Great driving with you! The Jag is so bad I got a 0.5 sec penalty twice for going a few inches wide, understeer, no brakes, no acceleration and guzzles fuel with over revving on the straight. It's still miles better than the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo

@Pigems I messed up my Ferrari test on the the N24, it was set to max power, minimum weight instead of stock. It takes off at Flugplatz, doesn't end well ;) It reaches 298kph on the straights lol.

Almost halfway DR A to lower B now. Had some really 2-3 bad races at Interlagos, not my fault mostly. Since i came to B, won 3 races in 5 starts so its ok :P

I'll be qualifying for Race C tonight using different cars to see how low I can get my time. I've hit a 3:20 before in the R18, but I think I can match that in the Alpine, Peugeot, or maybe even the Sauber. Either way, I'll be gunning for a top 20 or 30 time. Will definitely be racing in the TS050 though, since it's OP on fuel. I might not get a chance to race until tomorrow or Friday, but I'm looking forward to seeing you guys out there again. Cheers!

That'll come in handy for qualifying, if I can't get the TS050 into the 3:25s.

I'd rather not use this to qualify, though. So, recommendations on a postcard, please. TS050 seems to struggle a little at the top end.

Had more starting from the back in Race B. In one race I went from 14th to 7th. Not bad.

Also is it me or is the cars lighter in terms of contact? In a race yesterday at Interlagos going down the straight after the S, I approached someone on their left. I was side by side and the racer jerked into me. It wasn’t a hard hit but the racer swerve into the wall and it gave me a penalty.

Round and round we go, look out below! It's time to ride my circus for a psycho! Welcome ladies, gentlemen... and @Pigems ! The circus has come to town showing everything but Yul Brynner! We start this evening's main event at the stroke of midnight, with the banshee wail of a very high strung Mazda engine. Couldn't beat my Jag time, but matched it with my optimum. Started P9/19 on a mixed grid of DR/A-D. 9 DR/Ds, the rest As and Bs. Good mix of cars.

And awaaaay we go! Starting on the exit of Found-On-Rubbish-Dumps chicane is getting tiresome . I get rammed at Dunlop, then struggle to get grip and have to crawl through to Tertre Rouge. By the time I get moving down Mulsanne, I'm down to P17. For laps 1 and 2 that's pretty well much where I stayed. Places gained punctuated by epic fails and back to P17 again. Kept braking too late for the Mulsanne Corner and ending up in the sand. I managed to sort it out, perhaps a bit too gingerly by lap 3. Slow, but still faster than using expensive slicks to dig cat poop outta the sand . I was able to gain a few places by lap 3 and then lap 4 and 5 people were pitting.. I started the final lap in P12 with 1.3 laps of fuel left. The car in P11 was about 4-6s ahead, and ran outta juice approaching Porsche. I passed at Porsche and the race timed out between Du Pont and Karting :scared:.

SR downs are pretty brutal at la Sarthe, and it's hard to make any gains. I managed to claw back 2 more SR and gained another 200 odd DR. Another day above DR 1 :odd:.

Did you touch the wall perhaps? If you slow down and don't touch the wall you should not get a penalty. I overshot the first chicane yesterday (couldn't spot my brake marker from the right, crap tv) and stayed on the inside of the hump, carefully merged back in after and didn't get any penalty for basically missing the whole corner.
I think I might have bumped it, I'm not sure. If I did it wasn't even hard enough to notice.

I think that's the Gr.x version rather than the gr.1 version, so don't think you can use it.
Try the Peugeot instead if you don't like the Toyota. It's a solid race car (better top speed but you need to fuel save a little) and decent in qualifying too.

Well spotted.

Back to the TS050 . . I like it. It just needs a bit more top end.

I found the same thing with the TS050, a total shock after the TS030, The Peugeot and the Porsche. Oh and the Audi. But I did improve my Q by 0.74 though it's still only 3:34.2xx

same thing here massive oversteer when not on throttle I am able to work thru it managed 2 second places this morning. Love the fact that all you need to do is short shift a bit to make on fuel. does anyone know if you can manage that with TS030

Tip for LeMans qualifying:
For those of you who are doing qualifying laps in the LM55, and have most likely noticed it's below average brakes, I was able to shave .600 off of my time by changing my brake bias to -4. I wouldn't recommend using that setting in the race, due to front tire degradation.

That cracked me up... be even worse if you were down to your last quid and bought it :lol:

At this time of the month, you're not far off

Down to £60. Payday on Sat.

Edit. 3:25.956 in the '16 Audi R18 after three laps. This thing feels deceptively quick. Turn in is a little odd, sometimes it doesn't seem to bite. More testing needed. But, I think I can drop this thing into the 24s.

If you get outside track lines things get very slippery, you gotta keep an eye on you’re placement in the braking zones. Same for acceleration, the thing just wants to take off in a straight line, so make sure you’re pointed in a good direction before flooring it. It’s a rocket ship on wheels though once you get used to it. :)

If you find yourself running out of hybrid power, turn you brake bias all the way to the rear, or as much as you can handle anyway. It will generate more power under braking. If your hybrid power bar never goes to zero, then it won't be needed. It depends on the track. Also, you can brake super late in that thing. I often find myself flying through the braking zone and staying on the brakes well into the chicanes after the long straights.

Cheers guys, I'll keep those points in mind.

I knew it!! I knew I could get the Hyundai into the 1:31's. It's a normally under steer prone car, so I had to figure out what was causing it. I figured that it came down to having too much rear brake bias so I cranked the bias down to -4, putting more on the front. It let me do a better job of trail braking to the apex and getting on the gas early.

I'm sure a better man could get the time into the low 1:31's, but I'm pretty happy with a 1:31.8

P.S. This was done through qualifying for Race C rather than Time Trial in Arcade Mode.

That's probably it, the game thinks you're wall riding. If you hit it harder and lose time you won't get a penalty. I had the same thing on N24, went wide at Kallenhard, tiny scrape on the wall, 5 sec. I went wide another time at Klostertal, hit the wall harder and no penalty. Same thing on Monza, I didn't even notice I hit the wall on the inside at Lesmo 1, lost less than 10kph when I looked at the replay, 5 sec penalty. Doesn't even make sense lol.

Well, I had one go - Race C, TS050, starting from P14

I got punted off Ford Chicanes before race even started. Ended up at the back when normal braking point failed me at Mulsanne chicane 2. Spun at Indianapolis and later at Ford again.

Ended 11th because half the field quit. SR down to C. Kinda feel like SR can **** off if I'm gonna be losing it before I cross the start line.

Race A I felt pretty quick in, but Tsukuba is the rammer's bread and butter, as is Interlagos.

Third throwaway week in a row, I guess? Really been losing my drive these last few times out as if I try, I am getting punted around losing SR by the dozen, and if I play safe I'm basically pootling at the back for 5 laps bored off my ass and losing DR.

Why can't people just ****ing race me? I take less hits in the Arch Tempered Kulve Taroth seige, and that's literally a fight with a 100ft golden dragon that burps lava.
