It wasn't really sliding much at all, BB was +2 and TC 0, using the DS4 too, opt was a 17.8 but kept messing up the horseshoe bit
That's weird. I've always got the best results from AWD cars with negative brake bias. Maybe I'll have to try positive. 👍

To be honest I barely used the brake pedal, mostly feathering through turn 2 and the last one, not sure how much the bias really affected my laps

edit: wrong thread.

Bla blah, gonna do more daily C races. Thunder storms are rolling in (well it's getting pretty dark)

Aww clean streak broken from a random 0.5 sec penalty. The car in front of me went further over the line, didn't get anything. I went an inch, got 0.5 sec, lost 2 sec on the straight so the car 1.8 sec behind me could pass. Oh well, was a good run of 6 clean races. Back to zero. It's so random though, sometimes you still get the clean race bonus while going much further off road with penalty. I got it once on the Nord while completely skipping a kink in the road in the twists before the corners to the final straight. GT Sport: The real inconsistency simulator

Damn good racing on a Sunday btw. DR up to 46K. Much faster people are showing up so I'm dropping down the starting grid, still making up positions although last race the one pass I worked so hard on was undone by the inconsistency generator

One or two more, then on to the mountain. @Mistah_MCA T minus 30 for warm up correct? :)

Having conversation with DJ the "Student Driver"

Not good. How do we be appropriate instructors?
When they won't listen, or race?

The Sport Mode gets unplayable on sundays, period. I'm at the apex of what I can achieve in Sardegna C with the 911 RSR but every single race I've tried today ended in crashes and white hot incandescent rage. I went from SR S to B in a blink of an eye (and mind you that I don't really care about those ratings).

Note to self: don't you try to recover the losses of the week on sundays because you not only won't be able to do so due to the Sunday Drivers, but you'll also get pretty frustrated.

That's how I've been doing it and my best time is a 52.793 with the 911.

 I've avoided the game all week & ran a 54.4. My eyes bugged out when I got dropped into a room where pole was 52.7.

I don't know how you guys are dealing with sardegna this week. Took almost 2 weeks off, but still over it. Edit: video might be a while, having to learn share factory to do it, and after reviewing replay, wasn't last to first guy, but still no idea what the hell they were doing on last chicane

Like I said, week off from me, but the game was calling me today. I feared the worst & only got a couple of incidents. Oddly, Sardegna over the last couple of weeks have been intense, but fun. I'll also post a video of some of the highlights (& lowlights) later.

Ouch, I physically can't race anymore today, neck hurting, back hurting, index fingers hurting. Yet 2nd or 3rd place while gaining 3 or 4 places with clean race bonus race after race, so addictive! The Nord was pretty clean tonight, that is, only one trouble maker (in the front) per race which karma took care off sooner or later.

I guess the weekly format does work although it takes a long time for the racing to get good. A couple days ago I was ready to uninstall the game... It helps that Sunday has more people playing so matchmaking doesn't pull any crazy stunts.

Despite a slow start and a bunch of disconnects my DR went from 27K to 47K this week. And since this is the first time the Nordschleife is on with 2 laps, I must have done 788 (total laps) minus 715 (total races on Nordschleife) = 73 races this week on the Nord. It's hard to stay away from that track. 546 top 5 finishes and 125 wins with 97 pole positions. It's my best track by far.

Great (end of the) week which ended with an incredible race against a Brazilian, bumper to bumper for over a lap, swapping places, side by side, zero contact, awesomeness. Bye bye snail car, you're slow, if it's wasn't for the Nord, you would have never been used!

Yeah, I'm not gonna miss ya. At least GR.4 won't feel slow tomorrow

Another week inside the top 1000.

Over the past few weeks, I've landed Q times for Suzuka, Fuji, and now Sardegna, well inside the top 1000 in EMEA. I'm not too sure where this extra quali pace has come from. But, I'm happy with it.

Let's see if I can manage it around Maggiore, this week . .

Not pointing the finger at anyone. Not being L33t, but how is it some of you blokes have so few wins? I don’t think it’s that hard to get a win in GTS.

EMEA is a massive region and massively competitive at all levels. Very rarely are you matched with the same people over and over so its hard to get any sense of consistency with who you're racing.

My evenings tend to be this at current: Do a race starting around P7. Realise we're quicker than most mid pack. Re-qualify, drop a second or more, enter a new race, be re-match-made with even faster people and not be competitive in the slightest.

134 races. Highest finish > P2.

I am finding this out the hard way. :nervous:

they made the rotation on g29 sooo small for the kart. its way too sensitive.

if you dont get put in the top 5 its kind of hard to catch up after a rolling start if the top guys dont screw up. not to mention the ramming at my rank.

Have a look to see where your qualifying times would put you on the EMEA leaderboards and you'd have a better understanding of how competitive it is.

And not to be L33t but how is it your SR profile looks like a heart rate monitor? I don't think it's that hard to maintain a high SR in GTS ;)

My 54k DR suggests I’m well capable of winning against though opposition. Asia isn’t a cake walk either. My Q times after often writhin 1.5 to 2.0% of the fastest guy. I use a controller and auto. I’d argue I’m doing okay.

My “heart rate monitor” is more an indicator of this being the first racing game I have ever played and there being a learning curve to racing. We’re you fast and safe out of the box? I don’t have 10 or more years of racing games under my belt. Just a year and a half.

That's kinda my point. 1.5 to 2.0% slower than the fastest of EMEA puts you in an extremely large populated group and nowhere near the top. Last week's race B my qualifying time was 52.424 (1.015% off the top) and I'd often be starting around P7-P9 on the grid.

Nope, I was all over the place out of the box  But to get into the higher rated lobbies (particularly for FIA) you need a high/max SR. It didn't take me long to both realise this and work out how to prioritise SR. With over 2,000 races under your belt I'd argue you've had ample time to do the same, although if farming wins is more important then that would actually explain our difference of opinion.

Just out of interest, what kind of response were you expecting from your original question? Also, what are you goals in GTSport? As wins come so easy for you are you targeting a place at a World Tour Event?
