In my case it's just that my DR rating is probably a bit too high compared to my actual pace. I usually end up coming up against at least 1 or 2 proper aliens in the dailies that I do and the guys at a similar DR in FIA races are generally a few tenths quicker than me on most combos. Most of my DR gains have been through just top 5 finishes. Maybe if I sweated a certain combo for a full week I could get more wins, but I'm racing dailies less and less now just doing FIA's and league racing but still here enjoying the game though.

If I pitted lap 7 I'd be in 5th or 6th. Just needed one lap better tyres. Fell from 6th to 9th on the last couple laps.

We're being trolled, probs best to just to stick the kettle on and move on with our lives.

I'm looking forward to race B later. I see EMEA is into low 1:16's @ willow. I'll be happy with a 1:17 flat this week I think. Is it home time yet?

Yeah you're right.

I've given the 458 a quick spin at Willow Springs but I'm way off the pace, but haven't raced there in a good long while. I'll try a couple of other cars later and a bit more practice.

I did also give the Shifter Kart a go. @Stencedaddy wasn't joking about the handling with a wheel. Most corners you only need to turn the wheel a couple of degrees or you fly right off! Will probably give Race A miss, or try with the pad, chuck it into chase cam and arcade style it.

The Cayman worked really well in my tests over the weekend. I posted a link to the Z28 track guide earlier in this thread. Helped me out no end!

1.) I have no wins.
2.) I just said it was hard.
3.) I won't get to A+.

Maybe you weren't referring to me.

But this has gone on too long now. You asked a question with the pretence of humility. Didn't like the explanation. Attempted to impress superiority and got ****** when we bit back?

I normally like your posts around here and thought you were up for a constructive chat. But what point do you want to prove here?

Some find it harder or easier to win than others. Great.

It was meant for watto not you.
He tried to imply his 23 wins are special because he is in EMEA. And mine less legitimate as apparently I farm my wins as I’m in Asia. What a slap in that face. I’m not gonna sit back and take that.

Bite as hard as you like mate.

Another example
51 wins from 175 attempts. If you know how to race you will chalk up wins.

I didn't imply my wins were special.
I didn't say your wins were any less legitimate.
I was saying that it's harder in EMEA purely because of the number of people. What I was actually implying was that if you dropped your qualifying times into EMEA you'd unlikely have as many wins, because it's much more competitive.

But my DR is lower than yours so what do I know.

You said “win farming”, that implies less legitimate.

Damn, all this talk about wins...I did get most of my wins in the early mornings to get myself to the magical 91 wins trophy. Now with that and the drift trophy out of the way, it's time to reach Level 50.

Oh and my DR is pretty high for my general pace, which means midpack races on 2nd split Asia in FIA...or even up front with a competitive car...

I wasn't implying that. A win is a win. While not exactly farming wins I have farmed decent results at combos I'm good at.

Again, I'm implying that EMEA is more competitive and as such is harder. That's all.

Oh, I recognize that account. ;)

Appreciate the compliment. :) However, you can expect that 51 win count not to change a lot for a while. I'm semi retired from dailies on this account anyway. The risk is far too high for me at this point in terms of rating. I'm going to do a race or two today before I go on vacation tomorrow, then make a new account to enjoy the dailies without worrying about my ratings.

Things are a lot harder in FIA. While I often find myself as the only A+ driver in a daily race, the top four or even five splits in EMEA are filled to the brim with A+ guys. I usually end up in the third split with @Hasnain282 and the competition is very tough, sometimes including live event finalists. It's very hard to get wins in FIA.

Win rate is no indicator of skill. I looked up @Tidgney's stats on KP and my win rate is higher than his, yet guess who's clearly the better driver. Not me. ;)
It's no use arguing about wins. Not even DR can be fully accurate, I could have grinded for a year in the early mornings with Bs as my closest opposition and reached 75000 DR without breaking a sweat. You need to race someone if you truly want to see how good they are. :)

Edit: I got about a third of my wins in a single week, by setting a good Q time in a daily A and going from C to mid-B level. It's really nothing special. If I went back to C rating and did that three times over now, I'd have 100 wins and an artificially inflated win rate. :)

Tried all 3 new events qualifiers today and all I lasted was half a lap in the shifter @ Tsukuba before I moved on... what a POS that was  Here's my best so far in the Huracan @ Big Willow.. This is the best combo of the 3 events imo will defo try the other cars tonight 👍

Nice lap, smoooth as you like.

Thanks for posting that, will definitely use that as a reference later! I think the Huracan will be my go to car for this one.

Win farming is the tactic of tanking Dr and Sr in order to get matched with beginners and less talented drivers.
It's often deployed by drivers who can't deal with competition from drivers that are at their level.

1. Tank your Dr and Sr
2. Get matched with low level players
3. Rake in easy wins
4. When you've leveled back up repeat step 1

Looking at your Dr/Sr graphs and considering your K' speed score of 68.64 I'm guessing this isn't a completely new concept for you.

And wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Gonads and strife! Gonads and strife! Gonads and strife! I decided to get on and do a couple of GT lounge races for some scratch towards my next car. I thought I'd have a peek at the weeklies, just to see what cars were up. I had no ...intention... to ...race. Tscoobydoo and karts... in my mind, *that's* what that track was made for! Normally I avoid Race A's like the plague, but.... can't....resist... :scared:. I did some laps prequaly and just couldn't break 1min. Entered the race anyway, did more qualifying laps in the 5mins left and seemed to settle in the 58s. Wholly crap! P4/11!

I assumed I'd be knocked into the grass at T1, but that didn't happen. I was up to 2nd place by the 2nd lap, saw someone coming up the outside faster than me so I pulled aside and tucked in behind. I wasn't as tidy on one of the corners, so the front two were duking it out with me about 3s behind. I managed to make P3 stick . Karts on Tsubuka was so much fun! Probably won't do many more this week... I get kinda bored of one makes on the same circuit for a whole week.

Gained back the two SR I lost last week, and DR went up 500... I'm back into 4 digits again! Clean race bonus too :D. Another day above DR 1:dopey:.

Oh my. I've not driven the Kart since I got a wheel. Is it that bad?

I'm thinking there has to be some serious settings adjustments to the wheel sensitivity for the Karts, I'll have to experiment when I get home. Or, it just may be a controller race.

The early bird gets the worm...

Please don't beat my time

I wonder; do the Aliens just roll out of bed and just throw up top 10 times?

Not pointing the finger at anyone. Not being L33t, but how is it some of you blokes have so few wins? I don’t think it’s that hard to get a win in GTS.

It's all about qualifying, at least here in the USA. I've won a couple in the last couple of weeks and have had more top 5 finishes because I'm qualifying faster and therefore, starting higher up on the grid.

And let's assume, I didn't qualify and started from the back, even the A rated guys will tell you, it's hard to win from back there, because you have to manueveer through so much garbage and it just slows you down and next thing you know you're 30 seconds behind the leader

Since when do Quali times correlate explicitly to winning? Your arguments are false. Why can’t I win from 5th or 10th. Isn’t that the point of racing?

I once thought like you. But no. It's all about qualifying and where you start on the grid.

If I pitted lap 7 I'd be in 5th or 6th. Just needed one lap better tyres. Fell from 6th to 9th on the last couple laps.

So this isn't a no stop race?

I can’t wait to Chase the A(+)ce tonight!! This week is gonna be intense!! I haven’t raced for rating in a looooong time!!

@sturk0167 So there is more grip in Q today? I noticed less grip in the lobby yesterday compared to the offline TT. What ya down to now?

Good luck. I'm going to join you in the chase but with 12k needed It's a big ask! Which profile are you going for the A+ with?

Edit; i'm on 37,710 now with SR @ 99. I'll quote this in a week :D

Thanks, Good Luck to you too!! I think I need just over 8k to reach it, I think @Oshawa-Joe is gonna make a run at it this week too, and @sturk0167 , Good Luck this week everyone!! Let’s do this!!

I’ll be using my CnF_Pigems account this week. :)

Yeah why can't you? :sly:

Just to add some more useless stats to a useless debate :mischievous:

I see you have 535 poles for the 586 wins, so only 8.7% of your wins come from not starting in front of everyone else.
I have 362 poles for 543 wins, or 33% of my wins come from behind.

That's reflected in the other stats with an avg position gain of 3.67 per race vs your 0.08 avg position gain per race!

Not pointing the finger at anyone. Not being L33t, but how is it some of you blokes make up so few place? I don’t think it’s that hard overtake people in GTS.

Oh yeah, your consecutive clean race record is at 10, mine at 97 :p

Just messing with you while enjoying my morning coffee. Was a good read this morning

Win count doesn't mean much of anything since any chance of winning heavily depends on matchmaking. SR, time of day, day of the week, general interest in a track, other events at the time, all play a far bigger role than actually being good.

Anyway my win ratio is a paltry 6.7%, not that fast, just persistent.
