Also, here’s a super fun race I had yesterday at Willow Springs on my no-qualy account. Started from the back with a friend and fellow A+ driver, Erckie. Only got an 8th place finish, but there was a lot of action in those 5 laps and some sweet overtakes in some difficult locations on the track, especially at the end of lap 4 when that TT driver pulled a real smooth one on me. Enjoy!

can you go into gt sport events with friends?

We both joined the race at the same time. We are in the same region, our SR stays above 91, and the accounts we were using were both DR-A so we knew we would be matched together. I often do this with fast friends who have streaming channels and like to do no-qualy racing. Managing your SR is the best way to predict where you’ll be matched.

Doesn't work in my region, tried it several times. But perhaps if you are at a high level of Dr? I'm not, so wouldn't know

If the A race is with the Porsche, I can already imagine the races getting chaotic, as people will find out the hard way that this car is a handful to deal with.
I was just about to say the same thing. I just took it to the South Outer Loop and tried it with Sport Hard tires. :scared: If it's the car for that race, there will be a lot of hurt feelings, lots of wall penalties, and probably a few resets. Just imagine that the track has rain on it, because that's what it drives like.
I kinda hope it is the car, because even though it's pretty much just a bunch of drifting, it is pretty fun. 👍

This Kart is actually pretty fun one you get a feel for it. :)

It works the same way everywhere, but if your DR is lower, there will be more players of your rank entering the race, so in order for you to be matched your DR will need to be closer together than my DR would have to be with my friend since we are both DR-A and SR99, which puts us in the top lobby. There are far less A+ and A drivers than there are B, C and D, so you see a lot of the same people all the time in the higher lobbies.

It's the one with the Chicane of Death, right?
If it was the reverse version, it would be bad in its own way: multiple blind and awkward turns, and the heavy braking that leads into the docks and the hairpin will make Monza's chicane look tame.

It's going to be interesting giving it a go. Hopefully it is much better than driving it with Comfort tires on Nurburgring.

Yup. For a good time, try taking that chicane with no brakes. I think they're the tallest curbs in the game. They make great jumps. @Pigems 👍

I thought my DR had bottomed out, guess not. Down to 17.7K atm. I've been using the 86 this morning, been getting in the 1:17's, fastest lap in one race of 1:17.2, placed 5th as best result. However racing from the back always carries the risk of getting bumped off sooner or later which weighs much heavier than gaining 11 spots. Big Willow is a great track, too bad so few people can share the road there. Half can hardly stay on using the full width and then some  It should be called Dusty Willow.

I ran c race qual for the heck of it. The kart has been super fun and improved my driving, I think that thing is great for the game.
I used the r92, gave it a pretty fair effort and ended with 39.7.
It’s a lazy morning...I think I am gonna try that streets of Willow. Last time I tried it in sports mode it was the Audi rally car.

I’m having terrible luck in Race B today. I did get one win from it, but every other race I’ve either been run off the road while I was in the lead or I’ve made stupid mistakes that cost me the race. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen more blatant dirty driving from fast, competent drivers than I have today.

It also doesn’t help me when people take out ALL of the distance markers leading up to the final turn at Willow. Just cost me another win...FML.

Race C has been friendlier, but some aliens are out today. I’ve nabbed 3 wins so far but it’s getting more difficult. 3 more to go before I hit 200.

This has been the first week in a long time that i havent done sport races. The combos werent my scene and i found a lobby group of pretty clean gr3 racers i can fall back on for this week. That and hosting mazda touring car lobbies. Next week looks like i will be back in a serious way for race b/c.

Haven't been on Sport mode since before the update.
I've lost 1900 DR across 2 races. It is impossible to come close to the quali time I set pre-update which was an actual disaster lap, even though I'm driving better in quali. The 86 also handles wildly differently in-race versus qualifying now, so the braking points, gearing and grip are all vastly different. Understeer is suddenly very aggressive, tyre squeal is unbearably loud, and since it starts me near the back (14th) every time based on my old awful quali lap, the auto drive brakes the 14th placed car (me) right before the signal to go so I start off with a rapidly widening gap to the next guy and the car behind me essentially on my bumper. Also, slipstream for people behind is now too strong and acts from far too far away. For some reason, it struggles to keep the line it could before on corners, made worse by having to keep rapidly changing line because of others brake checking in insane places or going for utterly bizarre defensive moves (like in T3, pushing me up onto the bank), or just pushing me into the sand. So yeah, I've gained 2 positions each race after having been sent down to a very distant last place, but because I didn't fly up the order like before the update, I've lost just short of 2000 DR across 2 races.
WHY did they change the grip, sound and slipstream models? It's ruined the only race I didn't hate this week.

I just beat JaraPapa in a race, right afterward he left the lobby. The very next race I gave him pre-race chat messages of “good to see you again” and “you are fast” and you know what he said?

“Tu vieja.”

Translation: your mom.

:lol::lol::lol:

@Mistah_MCA your video of the Supra race at Big Willow is awesome! I would've crashed about 6 or 7 times on lap 1, due to anxiety. :nervous:
Great job. 👍
Thanks! :D It was so hard to keep my cool when the pressure is that high. I'm just surprised the last turn demon didn't eat me alive lol.

I tink it wil be a choice between n200 maybe Civic and Integra ? It say provided cars instead of one make race ?
It's an N300 race, though.

Well here it is, my 200th win and 7th win today. Today’s goal achieved. That puts me at around a 20% win rate and 68% top 5 rate for Sport Mode races and I’m pretty proud of that.

It’s not the most exciting race, but started P2 and the leader binned it. Like I’ve said many times before, sometimes people crash, and I win. Time for a break!
