Welcome to the 55s. The more you push it, the more the kart gives you in time. I'm pretty sure I can achieve a 55.6.

Thanks.

I’m going to have another go with the kart tomorrow. Really enjoyed it earlier. I nearly didn’t try it as I was thinking about doing more race Bs.

@Groundfish - yes, after seeing I was top 500, I was thinking I should race the kart.

I’d be in there with ya, but have slight physical issue with foot.
Did a lot of work this week on my feet, and they need some r and r.
It’s a super fun race, and cleaner than I have maybe made it sound, at least in America’s...

What I like about the kart track combo is that there’s many ways to get a time.
You guys should race with those times!
I won running 56.2 56.3 56.4 56.7 in that order after lap one last night.
If you can run low mid 56 in race I think you’ll be competitive.

Oh, I sure am getting wins. And a lot of poles as well. I'm running 56.2 on races easily.

Aliens, all of you! I’m still friggin stuck at 57.2.

Great stuff fellas!

Brake full, trail a touch and right back on throttle. No diff in kart. As little steering as possible!
In race I’ve been running no tcs abs off, but tcs and full throttle works well also judging by a couple top ten replays.
If you get back on throttle soon enough you’ll just push a little. No diff.
Top tens are like full brake pitching it then floor it lol.
Like cartbagger said it rewards throttle!

Great day today, awesome weather. I went for a 4 hour ride, 98km to the South edge of Guelph and back. I felt adventurous (and it's pretty hot again today) so opted for a little shortcut through the speed river. It looked pretty easy on Google maps, red line for the shortcut.

Doesn't look that deep from the air. Well, first of all those nice rocks turned out to be a 30 degree slope down to the water and the river itself was hardly moving there, because it was pretty deep. I ended up carrying my bike above my head with the water reaching up to my armpits. Thanks to the weight of my bike I kept stable footing lol. Too bad there was no one around to witness my crossing, or luckily there was no one around to tell me I'm an idiot  It saved me about 900 meters, and all refreshed again. Scenic route for the win.

I finished my clean race challenge this morning before heading out, 27 GR.4 cars around the Willow.

It's GR.4, I don't really have any favorites but I liked the way the MacLaren went around the track. It was not that fast though, I guess I should join the 86 crowd since I set my fastest lap in that of all in my first and only attempt with it. The Citroen GT can head straight to the scrap yard, that took forever to get the clean race bonus and had me dive to 52 SR after 4 bs penalties in different races.

Racing from the back in a sprint race is never good for DR, this week it was extra bad.
qE8d.jpg

That's my last 2 weeks, Nordschleife daily C followed by Big Willow daily B. I could have reached A+ again for a day if I had chosen my time to race more carefully, and had not been plagued with a bunch of random resets during the week. I lost about 5 to 6K DR total from disconnects 4 days in a row. Then just as my Big Willow DR plunge was stabilizing in the A/S rooms at around 31.5K, the Citroen GT fiasco happened, dropping me into B/S rooms where the descent picked up full pace again. I think it's bottomed out now, maybe.

2 tracks I like, racing consistent yet one sticking to one car with qualifying, the other switching cars while not qualifying. A difference of almost 30K DR  Now let's see if sticking to the 86 tonight and tomorrow can bring it back up a bit.

Has this still been happening since the update,

If not I may try to livestream tonight if I have time.

Yes but now you (sometimes) get a reason for the penalty.

It's not quite the same since he hit the corner of my bumper but I doubt the bump from behind has been fixed as I have still been getting SR down for getting draft bumped right in that spot where you got the penalty. (Except the bumper stayed on the road so no penalty)

What I like about the kart race is that people are clearly running very different settings and getting comparable times. I've looked at some of the top ghost laps, some running no tc, no abs, others running full tc and abs.
Such good racing too. I'm currently 14th in oceania with a 55.69. Such a shame we can't change regions....

Got proper gamed at Big Willy.

Started P3. P2 went very wide through T6 left hander to allow me through. We rubbed door handles and he cut the kink as I just about kept it on the track as I got bumped to the outside. 5 seconds to me and drop back down to 8th after the penalty zone. Made it all back up to the point I was on his tail coming into the last bend on L4. I get good speed and line and am well ahead on the inside going into the last bit. He does and cut back and gives me a nice cop car tail tap. He gets NO penalty as I spin around, hit the pit entrance wall and ultimately finish in P14.

He finished the P2 I'd taken fair and square... Twice!

Fuming! This evening has been one of DR sacrifice...

I made some back up in my last race of the night. P11 up to P5...

Considering I'm -1400 DR and -6 SR, I'm done for the day! Night!

Speaking of Big Willow (but not relating to the B race):

I was :censored:ing myself at today's Supra race:

I fell to 4th, but this was still my best race. :D Took home 1800 points and 1000 DR bucks!

Congrats man, very well done! I can’t imagine many people outside of world finalists get the chance to start a race in front of @iGoFast :)

Been running a few practice sessions with the mx5 touring car for next week's daily race C.. The BoP to make it balanced with N200 takes soooo much enjoyment out of driving it...

I really hope they leave the stock settings since it's going to be a one make ace...
I've done all these races versus AI with BoP ON(which they AI don't even enable for its cars). I'm used to the power loss and weight gain, I've tuned one of my RTC to the 171hp/1001kg. Still having fun though. :)

Throttle steering is the way gentlemen.

It’s been a good couple days of racing so far this week but I’m taking today off until FIA tomorrow.

I managed to pick up 9 or 10 wins so far. Got my first few wins ever at Big Willow, and another 6-7 wins at Maggiore. Good qualy times definitely helped as I managed a top 30 time for Race B (1:16.6) and a top 40 time for C (1:36.8).

Really enjoyed Race C yesterday with all the different cars and strategies. It seems like PD worked out a good one where a one-stopper and a no-stopper are both competitive and have the chance to win depending on traffic, fuel, tyres and mistakes. Most of my wins came from no-stopping in the R18 but a few came from one-stoppers and that’s how I achieved my best overall time of 18:36. I went into each race not knowing what strategy I was going to use usually until the end of the first or second lap. I love when the R18 is competitive bc it’s one of my favorite cars to drive.

I might have a few more daily races in me tomorrow in between FIA practice and actual races. Looking forward to more!

Long live the R18

I welcome the compliment, but I refuse the title. I'm loving being up there on the leaderboard, but I think this was just random luck.

I've been pretty consistent throughout this week, but this last race was really something else: I was driving that kart withouht thinking, just reading corner after corner, ended up the race with those times and a massive gap. There is a lot of saved replays to be proud off!

I ended up getting used to it and I'm now enjoying it too..
I was initially annoyed by the fact that they increased the weight so much that it defeats the point of it being a Miata...
And all that to make it balanced to a class it shouldn't be in.. It remind me of what they did to the older GT500 cars and how i'm still mad about it..

I managed to get my Kart time down to about 56. That's 56 minutes, btw.

Consistently starting on Pole on Lago Maggiore, which is new. I shifted from the LM55 to the R18, the 4WD cars just don't suit my driving style - there's way too much oversteer, and I cbf finding the right braking points to take advantage of the grip. The Audi is far more agile, and much more responsive to turning in. But it has also meant I'm consistently making mistakes that cost me dozens of places. In one race I went from Pole to about 12th. This morning I crashed into the wall coming around the back end of the circuit, but thankfully only fell back to 3rd.

Okay, so I play this game on and off. I've golded all mission and circuit challenges. In about 25 races online I've had 2 wins, 1 random pole. I wanted to platinum the game since I enjoy it and I realized how hard it is to win and get pole position.

I did the kart race and qualifying on my own and I was in the 58s. I got it to late 57s before i read some tips in this thread. I also watched the top guys lap (is there any way to race against someone else's ghost through the quali time trial?) I've been using a wheel and I got it down like 56.4 or 56.3. Late yesterday, I only had 40 mins till dinner so i just used my controller for 40 mins straight. I somehow managed 56.1 and then a 55.8 after 40 laps on a controller 0_0 . I got those times on my like 4th and 5th lap.

I was shocked. I did about 6 races last night, was pole in 5 of them and I won like 4 of them on controller. Its still hard winning. I'm not a good racer at all cuz I make so many mistakes and feel a lot of pressure but it's been fun. I also got robbed of 2 wins cuz of a penalty on the final bend. This karting combo is a lot of fun. I'm Gunna milk these poles more today and get back on the wheel.

Thanks for the tips in this thread. My settings were TCS 2 or 3, brake balance +4, ABS off.

Good morning ladies and gents, I’ll be racing dailies today and my goal is to reach 200 wins by the time I complete my 1000th Sport Mode race.

So I have 26 races to get 7 more wins. I’m gonna try Race B & C, but I think my chances are better at C, it’ll just take a bit longer.

I’ll be on and off throughout the day, see you all out there!
